It's on the Boardwalk about as close to the beach as you can get. We stayed there overnight prior to a sailing trip. Staff was helpful and the room was fine for the price. Great local food just a few doors down.

Hotel is right on the boardwalk and beach in Philipsburg St Maarten. It is in the center of action during the day. One block away you can flag down the local buses to take you anywhere on the island for $2 US. However, Philipsburg serves the cruise ship clientel, and it pretty much shuts down after 6pm. The hotel is right on the beach, with a very busy sidewalk in front. We were there for New Year's Eve, so the fireworks were right in front of the hotel which was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful, but the rooms were not very clean, our sink was completely plugged and the room smelled strongly of chemicals-maybe bug spray.

Hotel was a work in progress. We woke up every morning to demolition work in the room above us. The work started about 7am and stopped at 10am. Not great if you have been out late the night before. There is NO parking. There is a public parking lot about three blocks away with a great BBQ Ribs and Chicken vendor in the parking lot. I'm not a really […] picky person, nor am I a clean freak, but this place needs some work. The shower didn't drain very well. A/C did work great. I actually got cold at night. There were no extra blankets in the room. Internet worked in the lobbyon occasion, and if the signal was to weak, McDonalds is right across the street with internet. I never saw any bugs, in the room, or outside. Maybe the new construction will improve the place. The cruise ships would come in for shopping a few times a week. The price is good for what you get. This is by no means a resort. Okay place to stay if you don't spend much time in the room. No fridge, we ask for one, but they never delivered it. We were on the beach and around the island most of the trip. The towel rack fell off the wall in the bathroom, and the housekeeper just leaned it against the wall. It was still there when we checked out. This place is a okay place to stay, just not a high end hotel. If you are just looking for a place on the Dutch side on the beach, this is okay. The Sea View is not for everyone, but we had a great time there because of the location and the service. Antonio at the front desk gave us the best room, overlooking the boardwalk and since we were there on New Year's Eve we had the best seat possible for the wonderful fireworks at the table and chairs on the patio outside our room. The beach at activities […] guys were very helpful to us and we spend two terrific days on the beach at Great Bay with the cruise ship passengers that were in port. The water is clear and shells wash up, but the beach is powdery sand, great for long walks. When we were taken to our room it smelled strongly of insecticide and that didn't diminish much. If we left our door open, mosquitoes came in. The hotel is very old and worn, but everything worked and was serviceable. There are vending machines in the lobby with snacks and beverages including beer. McDonalds is across the street, and there are some nice restaurants on the boardwalk, and it's possible to have a good time for very little money at this place. I was very satisfied with my stay at the Seaview. It is not luxurious--think Motel 6--but in expensive St. Maarten, it is good value. My room was only about 100 feet from the shoreline and I had good views of the harbor from my room windows. It is close to many retail outlets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For example they helped find me […] a good car rental deal. And while I was charged for a "city view" room, they kindly assigned me a sea/harbor view room at no extra charge. I did not request this but they did this on their own. The room had a safe to keep valuables locked away, and a mini-fridge. We have stayed in Seaview for almost two weaks in December-January 2011-2012. The hotel is well kept, clean, the managers are very prompt to serve you and friendly. They gave us the best room available, the price of the room was correct and they did not charge for locking device. They have tried to provide a very good service. I will not hesitate to […] come back next year and I am recommending the hotel to other guests - it is located on the boardwalk, right in the middle, between first street (main shopping street) and the beach. This is what I'd expect a 1970s US roadside motel to look like. Don't expect much at all. Apparently there is wifi there but it doesn't work. Access to hotel lobby is up a flight of stairs somewhat hidden from roadside. Rooms leave a lot to be desired.

The location is great! It is not a resort hotel but the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel is where many of the people from nearby islands stay while they are in St. Martin. They also have a great breakfast in a little room off the lobby that only cost between $5 to $7 which includes your juice, bacon or sausage and eggs, or pancakes […] and eggs etc. and coffee. We got a room closest to the beach. There is a coconut tree just outside the front window and we can see walk path and beach. Room is clean and AC is cold. There is satellite TV as well. Furniture are quite outdated but not a concern at all. Bed sheets and towels are very clean. All floors and bathroom walls tiled. Location is close to tourist shopping […] area with a lot of jewellery stores and casions. It's not that far from airport but takes long to get there due to traffic. Taxi is expensive to get around ($25 to/from airport). There is McDonalds across the street. The casino is just next to the hotel and you can hear the music but stopped later at night. Lovely location: One side faces the beach and the other Front Street. Beautiful beach. Hotel is older but being maintained. Helpful staff.

The location is great, but the staff is outstanding. They make sure all your needs are cover. Some rooms need some renovations but they are clean and confortable. We will definetly return to the Sea View.

Are you kidding!!? I checked into this hotel, WHAT A DUMP! The room was drab and dingy like a 1950's roadside motel. The room was small and dilapidated. It did not feel safe or clean. I am from India and I had to visit St Maarteen for a conference. It was really nice experiance. It is a very good budget hotel in philipsburg. 2$ taxis are available just next to hotel to go anywhere in the Island. Hotel is just on beach and in the middle of town. None can beat this hotel in budget and location!

This hotel is in a great location, literally on the beach and nice part of Philipsburg. But when you enter, you wonder if you made a terrible mistake -- it looks a bit run down. And the room could have used a nice airing out. Having said that, though, we were very comfortable there, the price was right, and the location was unbeatable. I do wonder if the Seaview in St. Maarten provide meals for their guests, I saw a tiny room with tables and table settings and chairs around the tables. But did not notice anyone sitting or eating there. For my future stays, if I would be in need of breakfast or dinner, would that be provided for me? Overall nice hotel. Stairs from front street lead directly to lobby of the hotel. Lobby is minimal includes internet computer, snack machine and soda machine. Older hotel with older accomodations. If you are looking for a resort this isn't your destination. This is however a very friendly place. The manager could not have been more helpful and we were stranded there during a category three hurricane. The manager did everything in his power to take care of the guests. Hotel sans prétention avec une grille tarifaire correcte, idéalement placé pour le shopping de jour dans Philpsburg. La nuit l'activité est vraiment ailleurs.

Het hotel ligt in een grote winkelstraat, aan het strand. Kamer was ruim genoeg en op verzoek werd een koelkast geplaatst.Alleen jammer dat er geen internetverbinding is, maar verderop in de straat zijn er diverse internetcafe's te vinden. Het personeel van het hotel is aardig en behulpzaam. Tegenover het hotel zit een eetgelegenheid waar je uitgebreid […] kunt ontbijten voor een paar dollars. Met een busje kun je voor maximaal 2 dollars (enkel) naar een ander gedeelte van sint maarten toe gaan. Al met al een leuk verblijf gehad en ik zal daar zeker terug gaan. Lisätietoja
