10 minutes by walk from train station and 10 minutes from downtown. All is near. 4 minutes to big shopping center after which is downtown. Perfect and easy connection and travel by trams and by bus to beach. tickets can be bought from machines at every tramstop. Tramstop in front of hotel. Very helpful staff in the hotel and good internet connection in the rooms. Also possibiity to wash laundry and make your own food in the rooms(studio rooms). Rooms were clean.

An ok hotel in a quiet and commercial neighborhood several kilometers from the city central. Though the distance from centrum isn't too bad a problem since the tram-stop is just around the corner. We won't be coming back though, the service we got in all three of the restaurants in Montpellier that we visited was horrible behind the scale.. The french really lived to their reputation in this city, compared to the three other cities we visited..

A beautiful hotel in the very heart of Montpellier. What made this hotel unique is their decoration, a tasteful combination of old and new. Lots of interesting details. Highly recommended also as a hotel, eevrything worked out smoothly and the rooms was excellent.

"IBIS MONTPELLIER CTRE COMEDIE Turn the heat down!!"
Only stayed for one night but clean & comfortable enough if only they'd turn the heating down!! The air con wasn't much help and being o the 3rd floor we could only open the window half an inch! Apart form that it was fine. Great location for exploring Montpellier itself what a lovely city

Good sized Rooms. Friendly helpful staff, A fridge in the room would have been really helpful. Breakfast, good value for the additional cost
"Good hotel, excellent location"
I stayed one night at this hotel. It is excellently located, only just over 5 minutes walk from the main train station and 2 minutes from the lovely main square in Montpellier. The staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke pretty good English. The room was clean and a reasonable size, including a comfortable sofa. Generally the hotel is a bit dated […] and could do with a refresh, but this is only a minor negative. "IBIS Place comedie"
This hotel is in am amazing location! The underground car park is not easy to locate but our sat nav managed it. Emerging from the hotel at the Place Comedie was superb and we spent hours exploring the lovely city on foot. Breakfast was well worth the extra cost if only for the freshly prepared smoothies! Smashing!!

Excellent (walking distance) location for the old town and Musee Fabre and conveniently placed by a shopping centre which was great for buying water, snacks etc. Our room was newly decorated and very clean, although in line with IBIS "no frills" philosophy. Nice breakfast.
"Excellent Location"
Spent 2 days over the weekend in Montpellier, location could not be better. Very central, next to trains trams shops bars cafes etc... If travelling in by car as we did park in the Triangle Car park not Place de Comedie as Hotel gets preferential rates, overall higghly recommend it!

...is the best placed hotel in Montpellier for closeness to the sights and the tastes of the town. It's an Ibis so you know what you're getting (although I thought it a bit mean on the clothes storgae space) and it's almost at the edge of the pedestianised zone so you can walk everywhere, or get the tram really easily. The location is perfect! The people […] were great, the room comfortable (nice big bed), the A/C manageable, the bathroom OK (although the lighting is not great at 2 in the morning!). Localização privilegiada com saída diretamente na Praça de la Comedie, uma das mais lindas do mundo. Funcionários cordiais, hotel bem conservado. Falta apenas a colocação de uma geladeira no quarto.
"Ibis comédie à Montpellier : trop bruyant"
Ma chambre (5ème) donnant sur l'esplanade devant l'entrée du centre commercial, j'entendais tous les matins (dès 5h15) les véhicules du service municipal laver le bitume à coup de compresseur. Bref, ne pas avoir le sommeil léger. Des points positifs quand-même : wifi gratuit (même si ça devrait être la norme). Et chambre spacieuse.
