The Hotel Max is located in downtown Seattle, Wash., near many of the city's shops, fine restaurants and renowned theaters. Pacific Place is located one block from the hotel. Pike Place Market is five blocks away.
Hotel Features.
The Hotel Max was built in the 1920s by lumber magnate Joseph Vance, and was completely renovated in 2005. The lobby's red-lacquer and black décor sets an artistic tone for the guestroom hallways that double as photographic art galleries. The Red Fin restaurant serves Asian-fusion cuisine, sakes and creative cocktails. A 24-hour, complimentary business center houses two computer stations. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby for a fee. The hotel's 24-hour, complimentary fitness room contains television-mounted cardiovascular machines and free weights.
Guestrooms.
The 10-story Hotel Max offers 163 Denise Corso-designed guestrooms showcasing original artworks by local and regional artists and photographers. Slate-gray walls contrast with tomato-hued throw pillows and bed scarves. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses, pillow menus and down comforters. Bathrooms contain metal basin sinks, rainforest showerheads, marble floors and tomato-colored or neutral-toned wallpaper. Bathrooms are stocked with Aveda toiletries. Select rooms contain showers only. Rooms include wireless Internet access for a fee, and flat-screen televisions.

I stayed couple of nights in Seattle Pacific Hotel. The hotel was budjet level one and I was satisfied to the relationship between price and quality. I found the staff very nice and helpful. People who plan to stay overnight in this hotel should anyway know that there is heavy noise from traffic. I slept with earplugs. Breakfast was very simple but ok. The hotel located only few blocks from the downtown area were you could use free public transportation most of the day.

Palvelee hyvin asiaansa, jos joutuu yöpymään Seattlen kentällä. Pienoisbussi vie ja tuo hotellin ja kentän välillä. Sisältä hieman vanhahtava 70-luvun tyylinen.Lentomelua.

Varasin huoneen huomaamatta, että huoneissa ei ole omaa kylpyhuonetta. Asia harmitti kunnes pääsin hotelliin: todella kivat, modernit huoneet ja riittävästi suihku- ja WC-tiloja vaikka yhteisiä olivatkin. Aula ja yhteiset tilat oli sisustettu kivoilla vintage-jutuilla ja alakerran aamiaishuoneessa oli koko ajan tarjolla teeä ja hedelmiä. Lisäksi löytyi muita juomia ja pientä syötävää automaateista ja pesukone asukkaiden käyttöön. Aamiainen oli riittävä: jogurttia, hedelmiä, vohveleita, paahtoleipää, mehua, kahvia. Ympäristö oli täynnä pieniä ravintoloita ja baareja, joten valinnanvaraa ruoan ja juoman suhteen löytyi. Kaikki nähtävyydet kävelymatkan päässä. Liikennettä oli reilusti, saattaa haitata herkkäunista.

We have not complaints what so ever from the hotel. Breakfast was superb, make your own waffles, to erder omelettes, etc!! Pool was tidy and kids just loved it. Rooms were spacious, we had two king size beds it the room and we still had enough space. Shuttle service to the Seatac and near by locations worked without troubles! We highly recommend it!

The only comment I have is that the next time I stay at Hotel Maxx, I will request a guest room with a larger bathroom (and smaller sleeping area) and also sitting chairs that are more comfortable. "Great Value, Excellent Location!"
Obviously a very small room, but loved the location and service. Great feel to the place. Would definitely stay again.
We took our car to be serviced at Seattle mini and their shuttle dropped us off at Hotel Max on Tuesday and picked us up on Thursday. Red Fin restaurant next door was a great new find! We were able to walk to the Art Museum, Pike's market and the library from our hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downfall was size of room and bathroom. Bathroom was small and made it somewhat difficult when trying to get ready and having to share the same space with someone else who was also trying to get ready
Bamba was a jewel. Great personality and treated us like queens!

"Location trumps size"
The room was small, the elevator smaller, noisy room because of a poor fitting door and pricey parking. However, you can walk to everything which makes everything else tolerable.

A weekend getaway. Great location. Excellent service. Small, European style rooms, but sufficient (not 'super-sized). Uncomfortable saggy mattress in #704.

"Hip Hotel!"
The Hotel Max was a very "Hip Hotel"...the decor and the customer service was awesome! I only wish I had been able to stay another nite! The only problem we had was the noise from another guest! However, the staff handled the situation immediately! Overall, a great place to stay...will book through them again!

"Hotel Max"
Fun and stylish "rock and roll" hotel in downtown Seattle. Two blocks from Nordies and short walk to the Market. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint is the weird bathroom fixtures, a small metal sink with no counter space. It may be sylish, but not practical. Very loud air/heat system too.

First the good: Beautifully located hotel - one can walk all over downtown. Aveda product in the bathrooms. Cute rooms. VERY comfortable pillows. NO Gideon bible - an option for multiple religious texts to be brought to the room if needed. Helpful and informative staff at the front desk. Windows that open, at least a little bit! Now, the bad: I ordered […] room service once. After an hour, I called the restaurant. They seemed surprised it hadn't arrived. When I said I had to leave in 5 minutes, it showed up about 4 minutes 30 seconds later. Cold. Clearly someone had forgotten it. I paid for it because I didn't know it was cold. Wasn't worth the argument. Walls. Thin as paper. Didn't think Seattle would be such a spring break location and, as I was there on business, the drunk giggling girls in the room next to mine put quite the crimp in my sleep. The closet was very deep with no light. In order to see what was in it, I had to open the bathroom door and turn on the light so it shone into the closet. Drawers. There are two tiny, tiny, almost lingerie drawers next to the refrigerator. If you live out of your suitcase rather than unpacking, this won't bother you. Shower. I got the basic room, so this might be different in fancier rooms but - the shower was a tiny cube. The bathroom was cramped and tiny - European! As with every hotel with a "water saver" program, housekeeping doesn't seem to pay any attention to where you leave the towels and whether or not you want them washed. Despite hanging them, they were removed every time. Though I called in advance, valet service seemed completely confused when I came downstairs, every time. This hotel came highly recommended (by a dude who probably didn't notice drawer size or the tiny shower), but I probably won't stay here again. :( Lisätietoja

I typically long for my own bed but when I got home I was pining for the bed at Hotel Max and their pillow menu! Best night sleep I've ever had on a vacation! I look forward to my next stay and snuggling in that fantastic bed!!

Hotel Max was easy to find and near to all the places we wanted to visit in Seattle. The modern decor and hip art were a nice change from the bland neutral of most hotels. The staff was helpful, the room clean and well appointed despite being rather small. My daughter loved the Aveda bathroom products. The street outside was a bit busy to feel comfortable […] for arrival by car. We blocked the bus lane without realizing it until later. "Hotel Max - Small Rooms, Great Service"
Spent three nights at the Hotel Max in a room that would make most Manhattan hotel rooms look large, with a 2x2 shower. But the room was clean, well laid out and the bed was totally yummy. Moreover, service was helpful and friendly, and the price (including wifi) was right. Perfect for one or two adults, not geared to families with kids.

"room 909 the worst room in any hotel"
The room as extremely small. The bathroom situation was like being on an airplane. The window air conditioner-heating unit was very loud. to the point where you could not sleep with it on. The room should have been a closet, for which it was best suited for.

The hotel was fairly central to everything downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. I recommend getting a GPS for your car since you can get in/out privileges for your car. I originally thought parking was included in my hotelsdotcom package but when i arrived they said that parking would be $30/ night which they worked it down to $15/ night.

There was a in-window ac/heater in this tiny closet of a room. That was a massive turn off for me. the room was about 50 degrees when I walked in and the only way to stay warm was to have this unit running all the time. "Too much fuss"
We prefer to take care of ourselves. From the moment we stepped into the hotel lobby, we were pestered with porters fishing for tips. Just wanted to scream, "Leave me alone!" I can park my own car and carry my bag to the elevator. Grrrr!
I apologize if we gave you the impression that the assistance we offered during your visit to the Hotel Max was motivated by earning tips only I can promise you that is not our mission with our guests. Offering valet and luggage servcie is what we do and many times guest communicate to us that they do not require assistance which is of course common. "Hotel Max - Great location but not my first choice"
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Max. It had the classic elements of a New York City hotel: creative, small and a high room rate. The room was clean and staff were pleasant. I would prefer they cut spending on the overdone art motif in exchange for larger rooms. The location is key to Hotel Max's appeal. The Japanese restaurant downstairs is also worth a […] visit. "Cute and convenient."
We stayed the weekend for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a bottle of wine to celebrate. We found the day staff a lot nicer and more helpful than the night staff. It was really difficult to get help finding somewhere to eat for a later dinner. We were also not very happy at the $30 valet charge, which we had been told was free. The Service and the atmosphere was excellent. Our room had a great view of the Space Needle and we were able to access all of the Downtown area with just a short walk. My only complaint is that our room was soo small. Wasn't a huge deal because we were usually out, but it would have been nice to have some more space.

"Hotel Max--smallish rooms but nice location"
Service here was very good; we had numerous requests and the staff was good at fulfilling them. The hotel is an old one, refurbished but with the same old-fashioned room size. I found that perfectly adequate, especially considering the location and the price. The decor is a little odd: photos of rock-n-roll icons on the doors seem to preclude the […] gestured-toward possibility that rock stars actually stay there. But it's kind of fun. "Tiny halls, bathrooms, closets"
The hallways are tiny, about 1 1/2 person wide, the elevators are tiny, the bathrooms are tiny, and split in two, one with the toilet and sink, the other with the tub. The closet itself was 9" deep, and tiny. If you're sensing a theme here, it's tiny. The room itself was clean, well kept, and nice. There was no view, unless you consider the 5 feet of […] space between buildings with a/c units hanging out a view. The staff was friendly and helpful.
