Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort - Honolulu

Kerrassaan mahtava hotelli ja ympäristö! Hotellin Luau-show oli hieno kokemus ja ruoka oli hyvää. Mukavat uima-altaat varsinkin paradise-pool liukumäkineen todella ihana allas lapsille! Ranta muutaman askeleen päässä. Miinusta tulee ainostaan Rainbowtowerin hissijärjestelmästä jossa olisi hiukan parantamisen varaa.

Koko hotelli kompleksi oli valtava ja kun joulun ja uudenvuoden aikaan asukkaita oli paljon, oli valtavat ruuhkat vastaanottoon, odotusaika 45min, aamupalaravintolaan n. 30 min, alaastuolit olivat varattuina klo 07 lähtien, kaikenkaikkiaan liian paljon ihmisiä pienessä tiloissa, palvelut eivät enään toimineet joustavasti

Saapuessamme huoneeseen kokolattiamatto oli tunkkainen ja kylpyhuone oli epähygieeninen. Henkilökunnan lakko häiritsi metelillään, huonetta ei siivottu kunnolla kertaakaan. Roskat vietiin ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin. Saimme korvaukseksi 150 USD osto-oikeuden hotellialueen kauppoihin, mikä ei ollut mielestämme riittävä korvaus.

The Hitlon Hawaiian village hotel is absolutely great. Location, beach, food, room are all excellent. A small paradise.

We stayed at this hotel for almost two weeks. It was the perfect honeymoon spot. The views from the rooms are amazing. The rooms are clean, and you can request one with an ocean view. This is a huge complex with several high-rise hotel/condo buildings and many, many shops and restaurants. The facilities are all beautiful and comfortable, but the "downside" is that it always feels very busy. It is probably the nature of the "beast" (Honolulu), but travel in the surrounding area is slow, and it has its difficulties. Limited, designated […] crosswalks and extremely long traffic light cycles create impediments for pedestrians. On the other hand -- auto traffic is torturous; on one trip out our cab fare had hit $5 before we could exit the hotel property. Still -- it is Hawaii and therefore, glorious. A day drive into the countryside to explore the island was wonderful. The cruise that offered the chance of whale-sighting delivered. Enjoy the hotel, but make a point of getting off the grounds too. Our room in the The Rainbow Tower had an amazing view of Diamond Head. Having a hotel on the sand is priceless.

This resort is huge and beautiful. The facility has so much to offer. The several pools have a lot of lounge chairs but the water was very cold. The slide pool is fun, even for adults. There's many gift shops and restaurants (although a little pricey). The penguins and flamingos are a must see. Fireworks display on the beach is awesome. Even though […] it has its own lagoon (which rents beach equipment) it's right on Waikiki Beach which is very clean. We had a regular room and it was large with beautiful furniture, a gorgeous bathroom, small frig.,coffee machine with coffee and tea, and a room safe which required a fee. The facility was so big that even with a grounds map we got lost several times. It took a while waiting for the elevators. There's many local restaurants and bars in the vicinity. A 20 minute walk to the International Market which is a must see. It is a beautiful walk in the evening because all the stores are lit up as well as the torches that light the walkway. Lisätietoja

Had a great stay, pool water was way to cold. They need to heat the pools. The children would turn blue. Had to lay out and no relief from heat by swimming in the pool.

This is a well-run hotel, given its massive size. There are something like seven towers of rooms (about 3000 rooms), so do not expect much privacy. However, the voluminous and ever-present staff members are all very helpful. The valets, while a bit overwhelmed, were so nice and helpful, as were the valets, registration and concierge staff. This village […] has oodles of shopping opportunities. I am not kidding. They maximize every inch of real estate for possible sales opportunities, including pitches for time shares, but it is all done very professionally and somewhat unobtrusively, as well as beautifully. We bought lots of keepsakes and gifts for our children, and clothing and jewelry for ourselves. There is of course a Starbucks location around every corner, as well. This is one big hotel. The good - location is between Ala Moana mall and the Kalakua Street shopping areas within 2 blocks of both. And it has its own beachfront. The bad - there are people here... lots and lots of people ... if you like crowds of course. You can tell by the rate, this place is VERY expensive, just like every other nice resort in Honolulu. But it really is beautiful and in a great location. We only spent one night so I can't tell you much, however I remember the elevator system is really crazy. I had a great 5 night stay at your resort, excellent facilities, friendly staff, great entertainment, good convenience shopping and excellent Public Transportation for tourists. Outstanding customer service from the front desk personnel, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and even the Pool personnel. The complex was jam packed with retired military for the Pearl Harbor Remembrance ceremonies and the upcoming Honolulu Marathon. I stayed with my parents the weekend of the Honolulu Marathon where another hotel increased their rates by more than 50%. Hilton offered a 25% off special and included 2 complimentary buffet breakfasts with the room. The room rate was very affordable for that weekend and I enjoyed the convenient location and the stores on the property - drug store and […] pizza place. I booked a 1-bedroom suite and asked for a shower chair as my mother needed assistance in the shower. We had 3 people in our room and our room had plenty of space and comfort for all. The pools were great and we really enjoyed the Tropic Resturant.

Great location but the elevators in the Rainbow Tower suck!

I stayed here for the first 2 nights of my trip and then spent four nights at a cheaper hotel. The room was gorgeous and the resort itself very nice, but a bit too huge for personalised service. However, I did geta free upgrade to a room with an ocean view, so I can't complain. My biggest gripe was the lack of internet access (you can get it but you […] have to pay dearly). It's a bit far from central Waikiki but right on the beach and quite near the shops. I wouldn't stay there for a long time but for a couple of nights it was pretty good. Great hotel with lots of shopping, decent food and activities.

We stayed at HHV for the last night of our honeymoon, unfortunately, the President and Secretary of State were also staying here. I only say unfortunately because there was a ridiculous amount of security (we had to be searched and go through metal detectors to get to the pool) and all cars going to the hotel had to be searched so our commute from the […] airport was nearly 2 hours. Clearly, neither of these things were the hotel's fault. BUT, the hotel staff was amazing. We had to be moved from our original room because we were in the same tower as the President, but we were upgraded to a significantly nicer room with a gorgeous view. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Obviously, they had much more important guests to tend to, but they sure did not act like it, they treated us wonderfully. I live in Hawaii and I would not recommend this hotel. I feel the Hilton has lost its "hospitality". Although most of the staff is pleasant and has the Aloha spirit, I feel the corporation doesn't. Service charge of $12 to bring items up to your room in addition to the 17% fee is rediculous. I asked for silverware and was told there would be a $12 service […] fee. The valet is $30. I stayed in the Diamond Head Tower, not impressed at all. Everything pretty much has an "addition fee" to it. it is a hotel with good location, close to the shopping center and having beach to play on. service is ok. we lived in head diamond tower, which is not the best one among towers. I think rainbow tower should be best. why they didn't give us choice?

We had an absolutely amazing time and loved the fact that we did not have to leave the resort to get a taste of all the things we wanted to do. Everything was right at our finger tips from surfing to doing the hula. What a fantastic family adventure!

Beautiful resort, lots of restaurants, 2 Starbucks and lots of pools. Loved the wildlife - Flamingos, parrots, penguins and turtles. Lots to look at and plenty of shops. Great location, walking distance to Waikiki shops and beach and Ala Moana shopping centre. Highly recommended.

We have been staying at the Hilton since 1985, it feels like coming home. They are currently undergoing remodelling of the Rainbow tower and there are elevator delays. This work should be done within a month.

This place truly is a "village" with tons of shops, restaurants, its own lagoon, a kids' club, etc. It's also very big and busy. We had an oceanfront room in Tapa Tower with a view of Diamondhead. The room is very large but the space isn't used very well... don't know why the two beds are doubles and not queens. But nice to have a large bathroom plus […] a room with a sink and mirror, and a patio with chairs to sit on. While this isn't an all-inclusive resort, it has the feel of one. My first impression was awful: the line for check in was really big. To get there from our city in Brazil (where we live) it took almost 30 hours, and we were with our son who is only 2 years old. I couldn't believe that after 3 long flight i would have to be standing on a line for checking in on a Hilton Hotel. It's a very big hotel / resort, however […] they don't have enough employees. My wife and I just stayed here last week for our anniversary. The hotel is a huge Disney like resort. 5 different hotels, 5 pools, shops and restaurants all on property. Very convenient in those aspects, but nothing comes cheap. Drinks at the pool are $11 bucks each! Theres also a Louis Vuitton on site. Hotel is within walking distance to the mall and […] to all the shops on the Waikiki strip, so that was nice. Our room was in the Diamond Head tower but facing the resort and near the loading dock so we woke up to the constant sound of trucks beeping as they backed up to unload cargo. But you get what you pay for and we didnt want to spend more money for an ocean view. The room was spacious and clean, althought the carpet has seen better days and needs to be replaced. Staff was nice and helpful. This is a big resort and if you don't like crowds it may not be the place for you. The Rainbow Tower elevators were a drawback, slow and crowded, but they are working on adding more.

My Fiance and I stayed there just this past month and it was remarkable. The hotel room was more than we imagined and the view was spectacular. I definitely recommend this hotel and the beach front view room! The pools, are exceptional and the little slides they have were a blast. I would definitely return back to this hotel! We just loved it!!

We booked this hotel at the last minute for 8 days as our trip to Bermuda was cancelled by the hurricane. I initially booked a suite in the diamond head tower. I was very unhappy with the room-- although it was very big with a huge balcony and ocianview, it was dated and shabby with double beds and not what I had imagined for a romatic getaway. I spoke to the management and they were able to transfer us after 2 nights to a renovated suite in the Rainbow Tower which was magnificent-- perfect in everyway other than the elevators in the building which are limited due to the construction. We were thrilled with the room-- worth waiting for the elevator. The resort is big and very busy, with lots to do and see. The service in the restaurants was very good. We rented a car, and although valet service was expensive, it was very efficient and easy. I found Waikiki overwhelming at times. It was nice to have a rental car and get away from the craziness. I think this resort and location is very well suited for families and group vacations or for poeple who love to be near the night life and busy beaches/pools. My fiance and I are more into quiet relaxation and probably would have done better on another island at quieter resorts, but with the rental car we were able to explore the quieter parts of the island. The week spent at this resort was fantastic! We were traveling with a handicapped person who was always greeted with respect and a bell desl staff who demonstrated eagerness to make his trip enjoyable. They also were great at giving directions and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our car.

For the amount of money spent, the only consolation was the professional service of the hotel staff. Other than that, the experience was terrible. Upon arrival Guests had a 30+ minute wait in long lines to register, of course there were a number of individuasl that walked around attempting to speed up the process, once at the counter check in was prompt. The […] hotel seems to have a number of rules for accessing the pool (not sure why, but since I did not go to the pool I was not interested). Getting up to the room was a hassle due to construction there was a minimum of 10+ minute wait to access elevators. I was expecting more than what I ended up with. Compared to where I normally stay, the decor was in need of updating, my room was small, the bathroom was cramped (but that is ok), and the plumbing was something else. Attempted to take a shower but there was little water pressure and I almost scald myself since the shower only had hot water. The shower pipes moved (if I pulled hard enough I could have pulled the pipes out of the wall). Other than that the views of the ocean were fantastic.
