"FLOORS NEEDED ATTENTION"
The floor in the bathroom was dirty with hair and little pieces of dirt, It looked as if it had not been swept and mopped in weeks. Also the shower drain had hair in it like it had not been cleaned in awhile. The Main bedroon area, there was a large dead bug on the floor indicating it too had not been cleaned and vacuumed in awhile. I think housekeeping […] is not a priority at this hotel. "good value for the money"
My dad was visiting and it was close to our house. The first night was not good. The shower did not work well. I asked to change his room. They were very nice and gave him an even numbered room on the sunny side of the hotel. Everything was better. The room looked good, the shower worked great with hot water, even the bed seemed more comfortable. I […] had them clean out the vents in the A/C unit. (really dusty) They did so immediately. I always pull thecomforter down not sure if they wash after every use. Well when I fold it down the I found blood stains. I took to front desk and they gave me a different one. I talk to the manager of the hotel and he said that it was taken care of and that was it. I should have been reimbursed.
"It's a Dump"
The outside of the hotel and lobby are nice looking, but once you get in the elevator it's all down hill. Room was old and dirty. The mattress collapsed in the middle. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was no help and was not personable.

"Days Inn West Broad Richmond - nice staff"
Staff was very nice and rooms were clean, but hallways were dirty and there were kids running around the hallways and a lot of smells. Some sort of cooking convention was going on.

The hotel worked for us but we found it a little outdated and a little dirtier than we expected. A renovation could be needed in the very near future.

As many others have said, this is a cheap place and you shouldn't expect much more. The walls are paper thin, I woke up several times due to loud neighbors but that really isn't the hotel's fault. The room was fairly clean, they didn't clean up around the sink but that was my only issue. Check in was easy, check out was even easier and I made it through […] without any major issues. "the worst hotel experience ever!"
Upon opening the door to our room we were struck with a blast of hot, humid air and smelled like someone died! There was serious mold - so bad that we both had headaches within minutes of being in the room. We walked away from our prepaid room. It was that bad!!
"You get what you pay for"
Staff was friendly. Room was quiet. Neighborhood was safe and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was under construction and the room was surface clean but not deep clean. For the price I really can't complain. I think next time I will spend a few more bucks and try for a something a little bit cleaner though.

Reception in first room was bad. Requested another room. In the lobby, the TV picture was great. In my second room it was the same snowy picture. I decided not to say anything and just put up with it. Other than the tv, a preety good stay.

I was looking for a hotel at a low rate and this fit the bill. It is not brand new and it fit my needs; a clean bed and a roof over my head. Staff was friendly.

The Hotel's interior was quite shabby, although the lobby and hall carpets were not and obviously new. Room was clean, just in need of a little TLC. No real complaints for the rate I paid, but would pay more for fresher hotel next time.

The hotel was clean, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I used the business center and was happy with the internet connection and used the printer free of charge. There were numerous restaurants located within 1 mile of the hotel plus a Target, Burlington Coat Factory, Barnes and Nobles and other places for shopping. "Sufficent, reasonable"
We had read a number of reviews and found the problems listed to be the problems encountered. It was hard to get a consitant flow of hot water, there was an oder as you stepped off the elavator and the place was not overly clean. The ice machine did not work on our floor but did on other floors so there was no real problem. The staff was friendly, […] the free breafast ok, the room large and well lit, the parking great and the location near everything. Wifi worked perfect and was easy to get on. We were on the highest floor and the view was nice. I would recommand this hotel to folks who do not want to spend top dollar but also want a fairly decent room in an area that fells safe. "Comfortable, but far from clean!"
The location of the hotel was good, close enough to both town and shopping areas, which we really found convenient. However, whilst the hotel was comfortable and the hotel staff were pleasant enough, the cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired. Don't dare look in the corners of the bathroom, I'm sure there are things growing them you wouldn't […] even want to know about. Cheap ... That's just about it. Linens are super dirty, had to change the room due to linens and overall room cleanliness .... Daily room cleaning is very poor . Only make up a bed if there is not a piece of clothes on it ...otherwise it is left as is... Stay was ok for what we needed. Room with two beds bed to small for my 6ft man. Hotel was going under Renovation but you could not tell i was put on the 6th floor which was ok if they had the floor done or you could tell they were improving the hotel you could not tell was told breakfast had 20 items well where and there was no regular sugar and the […] desk clerk just sat there like so what we have no sugar drink something else she did not budge. The previous reviews regarding the condition of the property itself were far from inaccurate. The building and decor have a lot of issues. That said, I didn't stay there for aesthetic fullfillment... The room was clean and comfortable and the man at the front desk in the morning was extremely helpful and generous in allowing us a much later check out. "Older hotel but nice"
The night we checked in, Blair was working the front desk. She was very hospitable and friendly and gave us a great impression. The hotel was not fancy, but for the money was good quality. The breakfast was crowded and a little messy, but that is to be expected with so many people. The front desk clerk at check out was not at all friendly.

"The Day's Inn in Richmond, VA"
I just needed a bed and a bathroom for the night. The hotel served that purpose and was convenient to where I needed to be. Nothing fancy. The free breakfast was a nice convenience.

"Poor Hotel Service"
On the 24th of October my family and I stayed at Days Inn in Richmond and we booked our room online. So when we booked the room we put a check mark in the box that said we needed a crib for our baby. When we arrived at days inn we asked for our crib and they told us they didnt have any. So we figured ok just one night then were going to charlottesville […] for 3 nights. The next morning the manager told us he would make sure we had a crib for friday the 28th and saturday the 29th since when we booked our room we also booked it for these 2 nights as well. So when we returned on the 28th again we asked for a crib and again we got told that they were all out of them. So again our baby had to sleep in a double size bed with my wife and I and our other 2 kids in the other double size bed. On saturday my wife and kids used the shower and then i used it and by the time i was done the tub was almost overflowing on to the floor and the drain wasnt working. I got done and called down to the front desk and told them. They immediately sent someone up and gave us a new room. Now this room the electrical outlet didnt work by the sink and the door didnt lock we had to mess with the handle to make it lock. The pillows felt like the cases were full of feathers and we all got the worse night of sleep. So needless to say when we return to Richmond for future vacations we will not book at Days INN!!! "Good Place to stay for the night"
I just needed a room for tonight as I went to Richmond to do some research for a book I'm working on. The staff was very courteous. My room was clean with fresh soap and towels, the beds were very comfortable and I totally enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning. The access to the internet was also great as I needed to make notes on my computer. […] Would recommend this hotel others. Found the hotel to be extremely run down, poorly staffed and not well cleaned. very loud at night, with hall noise .

I enjoy staying at this Days Inn because it ic convenient to where we are going. Also we enjoy going to the bowling alley out back of the hotel as well as Bailey's Sports Bar up the road. If you check my previous reservations you'll see that I have stayed here at least 5 times in the past. Thanks for a nice stay.

Great price, but you get what you pay for. Stayed two nights and key cards did not work twice. Housekeeping came very early and disturbed sleep. Stuffy rooms and non-functioning air conditioning. Mediocre breakfast.
Convenient to many restaurants, and about 3 miles from downtown near an office park. Very close to freeways which I liked. Pet friendly. They are remodelling due to some lobby damage from Hurricane Irene, but it is not obtrusive. Friendly staff!

Very helpful hotel clerk. Was visiting son at VCU and looking for stores to furnish his apartment. Clerk was very familiar with area shopping. Hotel lobby internet access easy to use. Work out room with old equipment but functional. Will stay again when visiting Richmond. Close to VCU campus; shopping; and dining.

Room service is only available at particular times and I had blood stains on my sheets and bed spread an no one ever came to change it. However the manager and staff were very pleasant.
