Hotelli on kohtuullisen hintainen. Sijainti aivan metroaseman vieressä, josta pääsee manhattanille melko nopeasti. Aamiainen on ihan okei, tosin tilat on aika pienet, joten oli melko ruuhkaista välillä. Huoneet on todella siistit.

Sijainti oli todella hyvä. Hotelli sinänsä oli myös ihan hyvä ja palvelu oli moitteetonta. Huone oli pieni pettymys, kuvat olivat antaneet paremman kuvan huoneen kunnosta. Tosin hotellissa on varmasti parempi kuntoisempiakin huoneita. Mutta huone oli kuitenkin siisti ja palveli hyvin meidän tarpeita (kävimme pääasiassa siellä nukkumassa). Voisin suositella.

Hyvä sijainti, tilavat huoneet, ystävällinen henkilökunta! Kadun puoleise huoneet kylmiä ja meluisia, mutta takapihan puolella lämmintä ja hiljaista! Aamiainen hintansa väärti.Helppo sijainti, jos tuee metrolla kentältä. Ymräeilläpaljon hyviä ruokapaikkoja.

Mainio hotelli todella hyvällä sijainnilla. Palvelu oli neutraalia. Huonesiivous toimi hyvin sekä aamupala oli aivan ok. Ainoa häiritsevä tekijä oli kadun toisella puolella oleva rakennustyömaa, joka muistutti olemassa olollaan myös viikonloppunakin.

- hyvä sijainti, parikin metroasemaa lähellä - huoneen siisteydestä huolehdittiin hyvin - mukavat vuoteet - henkilökunta ystävällistä - hinta-laatusuhde hyvä - huoneemme oli "pihan " puolella, joten liikenteen melu ei häirinnyt - sisustus oli hiukan vanhahtava, mutta kaikki oli puhdasta ja siistiä

Hotelli on aivan mahtavalla paikalla. Hieman rustiikkinen ilmapiiri, mutta mukava. Ainoa negatiivinen asia oli - yllätys, yllätys - huoneen lämpötila. Huone oli kuin sauna, lämmitys hohkasi punaisellaan vaikka ulkona oli lähes t-paita keli. Mutta kalenterin mukaanhan oli TALVI. :)

Ihanteellinen sijainti. Puhtaat, mukavat ja (todella) isot huoneet. Ohuet ikkunat, joten korvatulpat tulivat tarpeeseen.

Hotellin sijainti Centralparkin läheisyydessä oli erinomainen. Nähtävyyksiin, ostoksille ja ruokapaikkoihin oli lyhyt matka. Time Square oli vain muutaman korttelin päässä. Hotelli oli yleisilmeeltään siisti, tosin kulunut pinnoiltaan. Kokolattiamatot imuroitiin päivittäin, huonesiivous toimi hyvin. Kolmannessa kerroksessa olevan erittäin siistin ravintolan […] aamupala maksoi 9$, tunnelma aamiaisella oli rauhallinen ja syötävää oli riittävästi. Aamupalat maksettiin uloskirjautumisten yhteydessä. Saimme erittäin ystävällistä palvelua respassa. Huoneemme oli 17:ssa kerroksessa. Meitä oli kolme aikuista samassa huoneessa ja hyvin mahduimme. Kaksi parisänkyä riitti hyvään yöuneen New Yorkin hälinän väsyttämille matkalaisille. Jos perushotelli riittää, etkä kaipaa luxusta ympärillesi, niin Salisbury on hyvä valinta. Hotels.comin tarjoushinnoilla tämä hotelli oli löytö; isot tilavat huoneet ja edustava kylpyhuone, erittäin hyvä kuntosali. Ovimiehet olivat (myös New York "standardilla") poikkeuksellisen arogantteja ja myöskään aulabaarin henkilökunta ei ollut palvelualtista. Hoito-oaston henkilökuna oli erittäin ystävällinen

Salisburyn sijainti on ihanteellinen, vain kivenheiton päässä Central Parkista. Huoneet ovat erittäin tilavia ja useimmat sisältävät pienen keittiön: mikro, jääkaappi, kahvinkeitin, pesuallas. Our room was very big and the beds were amazingly comfy! The location was absolutely perfect. The room was a bit noisy but I could sleep well with my ear plugs on.

Great location, clean, nice and friendly personnel. We liked very much to stay there. Only negative thing was breakfast: not a Finnish taste: Too much white grain and sugar, no vegetables at all.

Oltiin eka kertaa New Yorkissa (05/2011) ja tämä oli meidän eka hotelli. Sijainti oli mukava ihan Centralparkin lähellä. Meillä oli oikein tilava yhden makuuhuoneen huoneisto 17. krs:ssa; vieressä oli kuitenkin vielä korkeampia taloja, joten vaikutelma oli vastaava kuin olisi Suomessa n. kolmannessa kerroksessa. TV oli sekä olo- että makuuhuoneessa, […] kingsidesänky ja olohuoneessa sohvaryhmä ja matala sohvapöytä. Keittiösysteemi oli tosi vaatimaton: jääkaappi, mikro, kahvinkeitin, kahvia/teetä/sokeria. Pahvimukeja oli, mutta ei mitään ruokailuvälineitä, lautasia tms. Ei myöskään mitään keittiökaappitilaa eikä ruokapöytää. Komerotilaa sitävastoin oli TOSI RUNSAASTI: kaikkiaan neljä vaatehuoneeksi luokiteltavaa tilaa koko kämpässä. Maksullinen internet aulassa; omassa huoneessa olisi voinut ostaa ulkopuoliselta palveluntarjoajalta oman yhteyden esim. 24h/10 dollaria. Maksullinen aamupalakin oli tarjolla 3. krs:ssa. Sitä emme käyttäneet, joten siitä ei sen enmpää. Palvelu pelasi odotetun hyvin, respassa oli tuolloin sattumalta suomalainen vastaanottovirkailija. Hotelli vanhahtavan romanttinen. Yllätysenä huoneeseen kuului iso olohuone ja kitchinette. Todella hyvä hinta/laatu suhde. We visited Salisvury Hotel for three nights in the record hottest days of 2010. Arriving from Canada to Penn station it was easy to find our way to the Hotel due to it's close location to Columbus Circle and opposite to Carnegie Hall. Upon arriving the hotel staff were more than helpfull to our questions regarding sights, traveling and activities. The […] location was perfect for Central Park picknics and easy walking distance from Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art and Lincoln Centre where one can find classical arts and ballet among other. Visiting major tourist attractions is easy as Times Square, Broadway and 5th avenue are around the corner in addition to the close location of subway. As for the Hotel, it has seen better days but that did not affect the overal experience at all, especially because the price of the room was more than reasonable. Rooms were clean and the power air conditioning was much appreciated as the outside temperatures rose to 30 Centigrades even in late evening. For those to travel with tight budget the nearby 24/7 groceries and small restaurants offered excelent selection of quality fresh fruits, salads, take-out food and more. Excelent choice! Lisätietoja

Hotel itself wasn't fancy but the room was great and very large and clean. Price was good and location was perfect. Elevators were little slow and the breakfast wasn't special.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The airconditioning didn't work so well. The breakfast was ok and there were many places around the hotel to get breakfast from. The young man at the reception was very helpful. The location was excellent just around the corner of Central Park.

The hotel is in a perfect location and is very clean. There was even a little kitchen with a sink, microwave & refrigerator. The elevator was quick and the employeeswere all very nice. It's just old and needs a bit of updating but it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

I was highly impressed with the size of the room that we had for our stay. It was one of the suites and it was as big as my apartment in dublin. The reason we choose a suite was that we were travelling as a party of 3 adults and an infant.. As such we needed room for a cot and a small kitchen facility.. The cot (although resembling something from a […] 3rd world orphanage) was clean and quite sufficient.. Needing a sink to hold water to clean baby bottle was an issue as the plugs were missing or broken in both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink but after a call to reception this was resolved in less that 10 mins, which was great. The bulding itself is quite old and has some worn around the edges looks in some areas but nothing that would put my off staying here again. The location to all the sights in New York was amazing.. you could easily walk everywhere but for those who want to take it easier the subway is just at the top of the street.. I would highly recommend this hotel and location.. Surrounded by bars, restaurants and shopping it makes for a fab stay in New York for those not looking for ultra modern chic.. Lisätietoja

I took the time to read comments from prior guests and Trip Advisor, and I'm glad I did. The rooms facing the back are much quieter. The front desk help are somewhat cold and have NO personality. The location MAKES this hotel. The breakfast available is well worth the price, IF you are hungry. Nothing special about the rooms, but the LOCATION is perfect! "Good Location - Happy Overall"
Bed was ok, but have slept in worse. I have both AT&T and Verizon data plans and on the 16th floor could barely get internet access. This was the worse thing regarding my stay for me (Daily wifi was $10 and I opted to not pay for that service.) Breakfast was good, well priced and convenient ($9 including tax). The only item missing in my opinion was […] something with eggs for the protein. I loved the location as I had most of my meeting in a 10 block radius. The Room's size was quite good for NYC and had a desk which isn't always a guarantee for NYC. The hotel is a little run-down in the halls, but the staff were friendly and check in/out was easy. "Good value for the size of accomodation"
The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite we had was nice and roomy and reasonable value considering the size, but the accommodation and hotel was in need of refurbishment (at least on our floor), verging on being a "bit seedy". The first night it poured with rain and we were kept awake by the clatter of […] the rain striking the metal air-conditioner box sticking out the window. Other nights we had to put up with a hot room or put up with the noise of the air-conditioning. There were no bedbugs. Stayed for 5 nights in two rooms. Perfect location near the park. Hotel is old, somewhat worn down, but NYC-style charming. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Very big rooms, larger than my apartment at home! Two large comfy beds in each room. Two big TVs in each room. Good service at reception desk. firstly my booking was messed up by hotel.com & after paying more & then being reimbursed (long story) they guaranteed a king bed. i arrived to 2 king singles! the room was a suite so large but the bathroom was disgusting! a clump of hair on the wall & shower clogged with hair. staff were only basically helpful, never going out of their way. the breakfast […] was a joke. plastic utensils & paper plates :/ & the lady made me feel uncomfortable as i was on my own! no warmth or welcome! really disappointed in hotel & hotel.com! From the moment we arrived we felt at home in the Salsbury. The cleanliness and comfort of the room and the perfect location of the Hotel. We were so happy. We highly reccomend this hotel. "Brilliant location"
We stayed at the Salisbury for 10 days so were looking for somewhere we could settle and unpack - it definately fitted the bill with spacious, clean rooms and a very friendly environment. The staff were very helpful and approachable with advice, directions and any other issues. This hotel may not be very fancy but it was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was great. We will stay here whenever coming to NYC. The wireless is not free but it was only about $10 for the whole stay.
Our suite at the Salisbury Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice for us; four girlfriends on a bucket list holiday from Sydney, Australia. Located close to the subway and with a late night convenience store across the road and down a bit (sells wine but you'll need a corkscrew, no screw tops here!) it is within walking distance to heaps of must […] see and do attractions. The bed and living rooms were spacious (very, apparently, by NY standards) and provided enough cupboard space for the four of us to store our luggage away. It was very clean and quiet enough that we could sleep with the windows open (was that because we were so dog-tired from walking everywhere or that there was so much to see and do we were lucky to average four hours' sleep a night?!) but we did have a room at the back of the hotel. The beds were really comfy (doubles, but could easily fit queens in the room) with lovely crisp white linen. The kitchenette and bathroom were a little dated but perfectly functional and clean. We did have an issue a couple of times with housekeeping only providing three towels instead of four, but that was only a minor issue. Would definitely recommend the suite for friends to share and/or families as the overall value for money was outstanding compared to other 'four share' hotels we considered. Lisätietoja

The hotel is in a good loaction just 2 blocks from Central Park and close to 5th Ave. It is very worn and and in need of a renovation - but still has it's charm. Staff is doing what they have to do - not more.. We recommend to have breakfast elsewhere. Several alternatives in the next block.

The location was fantastic. About a block off Central Park. Just half a block to the subway. The rooms were huge and very clean. Charged $9 for breakfast which we never bought. There's a Dali Market two doors down where you can get breakfast for a couple of dollars. Would definitely recommend staying here especially with kids. Past a certain hour the concierge does not seem to care if you need assistance or have questions. Whether its 1pm or 1 am, a newspaper is not more important than the person that has spent a pretty penny to stay in the hotel. Both were sitting down and annoyed i even spoke to them. I have stayed there twice now and it's definitely my last. Both times […] the cleaning lady walked in my room without knocking or anything so I'm pretty sure they do it everytime...that I don't understand. Beds are terribly hard both times I stayed. Very clean and elegant hotel. The place has lots of character, being quite an old building, and this really adds to the charm. Room was large with a walk in wardrobe - the check-in staff apologised because, as we were very early arriving, they only had a room without kitchenette. This didn't matter as there are so many cafes and restaurants around, […] along with a 24 hour deli selling everthing you could possibly need just 3 doors down the street, we just went out for any food. "One of the BEST hotels i've ever stayed in!"
The rooms were large and extremeley clean..2 HUGE closets, a blow dryer already in the extremely clean bathroom, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and an ironing board and iron. the location is close to everything yet enouhg off the beaten path so that it's quiet when you want to sleep. A big issue for me and hotels is that the windows never open...they […] do here! We had nice fresh air coming in, which helped us sleep even better in the uber comfy beds. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. Our room check in did't coincide with our arrival and they were more than happy to keep out luggage (6 pieces) safe and secure in a room the bellman provided. The same free service was provided when we checked out. Our room was ready 2 hours earlier than the posted check-in time and we were allowed to check in early. Hotels in Manhatten ARE expensive, so don't expect luxourous hotel for this price. It is good, we had a very large room and everything was ok. Nothing to complain, but also nothing to relly prise besides the great location in the middel of everything. Rooms were not perfectly clean but acceptable.
