We were just traveling thru the area but it was a nice hotel for our needs. They were upgrading many of the rooms. It was very clean smelled very fresh. Staff was very friendly. I would stay again or recommend others to stay at this hotel.

I was very pleased with the hotel, will definately come back again and will recommend it to my family.

The hotel lived up to its rating. it's a good place to stay if you're not looking for the ultra-luxury experience. Internet worked well, the room was spacious, and the staff was very helpful.

Loved the location, but was disappointed with the old musty smell in room. And the pool was filthy, the hot tub was not hot and the water level was too low for the jets. Breakfest was great.

Had a get away weekend to Cedar Point and the Hotel topped it off! There was also a bar with great food. We had a great weekend and we will stay there again next year! It was clean, very clean!

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at the Comfort Inn. It was just off the highway so, we had no problem finding it. Located just a few miles away from Cedar Point, it was right where we needed to be and we had plenty of great places to eat nearby. The hotel itself was clean and had a great indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, arcade, and a outdoor bar […] for the warm months. The hotel help were very helpful and friendly. I have only a few things they could improve upon. The room needed a fridge and the remote for the TV didnt work but that is what the buttons on the front are for! The hotel was clean and pretty quiet. We were really comfortable. The only thing that was a concern was the security doors to the outside were propped open when they should have been card entry only. That basically gave anyone walking in access to the halls, so I made sure we had every lock possible on the door.

This past weekend, I (1 of a party of 6) selected the Comfort Inn Sandusky to stay at during our visit to Cedar Point. Of the two rooms that we booked, here is what we found: In the first room: 1) Bedbugs (we were subsequently moved to a different room) 2) The room had a very unclean smell for it being a non-smoking room. 3) Guest information manuals […] were sticky to the touch. 4) We needed to contact the front desk in order to have the breaker turned on to work the A/C. In the second room: 1) The room phone could not dial out. 2) A light bulb was missing in one of the room lights 3) A half bitten straw was found laying on the bed upon entry into the room. In the game room: 1) There were several arcade games in the room, with only 2/3 of them (at most) being operable. Concerning the pool: 1) We did not have enough time in the evening to visit the pool as we had to deal with the issues above. We did notice however that the air had a very chlorinated smell. Hotel was just OK, but the price was OK too. Room only had decaf coffee in the AM. Not sure where the regular was, but I assume they "usually" have it. Non-Smoking room, but smelled smoke somewhere. Probably better off to pay a little more somewhere else.

Although we had wonderful service from the ONE desk person who was working, the hotel seemed to be a place where party-goers slept after a night full of raucous. We were kept awake late at night due to the screaming women in the hall. Thankfully, the air conditioner was very loud and drowned out the bedlam outside of our door.

The hotel and rooms smelled musty, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling. The breakfast was not very good and the room was not inviting, it felt like you were in a basement w/ no windows. The only two good things were the pool side bar and the location.

was a very good hotel. it was very clean, the cleaning ladies did a great job. FREE BREAKFAST was great. big swimming pools as well were awesome. GOOD RATES PICK COMFORT INN SANDUSKY 5909 Milan Rd =)

The hotel looked like it was a work in progess, although the bathroom was nice, the lamp shades were very dusty and the curtains on the windows had holes in them, the walls in the room are also in need of desperate painting. We were also gone all day to cedar pointe the 1st day we were there and nobody had cleaned our room all day long, i had to call […] to get someone to come clean the room while we went to dinner. Staff was very friendly. The bartender at the outside pool, and both front desk women who checked us in and out. Room was very clean, bathroom was large and very clean. TV worked great. Location was convienent to all of our destinations. Continential breakfast was good. Price was perfect for the labor day weekend. Only bad sides was the indoor whirlpool […] was dirty, but the hotel was very packed for the Labor Day weekend. We did get in, but showered immediately after getting back to the room. And the only other bad side was the bed was not comfortable but again, it is only a hotel bed. For the low price, cleanliness, and friendly staff I would definitly recommend to anyone. The hotel room smelled kind of funny, but it was an affordable stay. The breakfast (although crowded) was good. Comfortable beds, tv that worked, functioning a/c- no complaints there.

Selected this hotel based upon the rating listed on Hotels.com. There was no mention that this hotel didn't have an elevator or escalator for access to second floor. Needless to say, this was not brought to my attention when I checked in at 11:00 PM. Also to add to the issue, the check in clerk/receptionist provided me with wrong directions to my room. […] After dragging a 1duffy bag, 3 suticases , a cooler and carrying two tired and cranky kids upstairs, I turned on the TV and the reception was snowy. To add further to my negative experience, there were stains on the comforter. Pulled the comforter off the bed and called the front desk to complain. A maintenance person was dispatched to the room to inspect TV and was not able to correct. Oh by the way, there was one more issue that has resulted in my "Would Not Recommend This Hotel" was the fact that I mentioned to the receptionist at check in that I was dealing with two tired and cranky kids. The room that I was assigned was directly over looking the pool side bar. I leave the rest up to your imagination. Hotel was very comfortable and affordable. Pools, and sauna were nice and outdoor pool bar a nice surprise. Breakfast room was well stocked, although, I could have enjoyed real scrambled eggs instead of whatever they had. The waffles and hard boiled eggs were fine

My daughter and I spent a night here as part of a Cedar Point visit. The desk staff was efficient and courteous. The room was very clean and neat. We were near the back of the hotel and I could not get the WiFi to work. It was a Friday night and there were a lot of excited young families there, so the hallways were noisy. The doors and walls didn't […] do much to block sounds. We were tired from a day at the park so we could have slept through a tornado. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast room is not large enough for the number of rooms there, and it was packed to overflowing. We chose to go elsewhere to avoid the wait so I can't comment on the food. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic weekend getaway or a serious business traveller. For someone who just needs a clean place to sleep it is a good value. Lisätietoja

I will never stay their again or any comfort inn again. It was bad.

The rooms we're average but clean, but that's all we we're looking for. We really enjoyed relaxing with a few cocktails at the pool side bar. The only bad thing was having to evacuate at 5am due to a hotel fire. We checked in after they had a fir in 1 of the rooms, she said if we wanted to cancel they would refund our money, but we stayed, and our stay was quite nice. The pools were a bit cold, but people were in them anyway. A nice hot breakfast, i bit early, but still good. Our room was clean and comfy... It's hard to review this hotel properly because it caught on fire in the middle of the night and everyone had to be evacuated. So we only got a few hours of sleep and never got our complimentary breakfast. So far the hotel has not refunded our money yet. Still waiting.

The weekend started out well, but our stay was interrupted by an early Saturday morning fire. Thank you to the employee who knocked on the doors to tell us the building was on fire and to evacuate.

Family traveling with 2 children 11 and 14. the Romm was old and in need of updating. The hall way rug could of used cleaning. A full American Breakfast was included in the price. However it was pretty bad, not enough seating for all the guests, the food was not kept up and replenished. It tasted old and very low quality. Well I arrived at 1230 am and was awakened up at 0430 with the hotel burning. That wasn't the worst. They wanted us to stay after the fire in a room that smelled of smoke. So I got to sleep for 4 hours and then had to find my own new hotel because they said they couldn't help. Then to top that off they charged me for the 4 hours of sleep. Also while […] the fire was going on nobody from the hotel came out with a list of room numbers and people to even see if everybody made it out okay. Poor planning. Half of the hotel's fire alarms never even went off. It would have been a pleasant stay, I admit the hotel was very nice. Better that most that we have stayed in. Unfortunetly the Hotel roof caught on fire and the building was evacuated from 4:00 in the morning till around 10:00. It sort of threw our plans for the day out of proportion. The room was very clean, the beds were quite firm bordering on hard, and the noise from the flushing of the toilet in the room above us was a bit disturbing. Otherwise a pleasant stay. BATHROOM WAS REALLY DIRTY HAIR FROM PREVIOUS GUEST ON TOILET AND FLOOR - CORNERS WERE FULL OF DIRT AND GRIM BUILD UP. COMFORTER HAD WHAT LOOKED LIKE PIZZA SAUCE OR SOMETHING ON IT - NEVER GOT WASHED - PILLOWS WERE DIRTY AND HAD MAKE UP ON THEM. BEDS WERE HARD AS A ROCK. The location was excellent for our visit to Cedar Point. The hotel room was not the Ritz but it was clean and comfortable. Both of the pools were very nice and the outdoor bar had great food for the family to snack on while we swam. The beds were rock hard, sleeping was very difficult. Breakfast was VERY crowded, you are not allowed to take breakfast back to your room and there were not enough tables for everyone to sit down. There was no fruit 2 of the 3 days we stayed there. We ended up having an early lunch every day due to the lack of decent choices for breakfast. This hotel is in a good location for Cedar Point. This is the only good point I can find. We spent 3 nights here with a friend. We had a ground floor room which smelt damp and the bed linen and carpets had a damp feeling. The walls had been wiped down and were stained and there were numerous stains on the ceiling, which seemed to be the remnants of […] silly string in various colours. The free wi-fi only worked 50% of the time and NOT in our room. You had to be near the reception area of the hotel for it to work, and even then were not guaranteed a connection. The rear key entry doors did not allow late night key entry, which caused a good deal of guests, and a pizza delivery man (he was trying to get in along with a crowd of about 20 guests) cause for complaint. The breakfast was a bit of a bun fight, crammed into a small meeting room, with limited sitting space for a hotel of this size. Breakfast would benefit from healthy options and the plastic cutlery and polystyrene plates and bowls were very low class. This was a cheap hotel, and the price was attractive. The staff were mostly helpful and friendly and breakfast as to be expected for the price. However, the room we stayed in was well over due redecoration, and the the damp smell feel of the room was disappointing. There were many many hotels in and around the area. Had to wait when we arrived because interent service was down and also went down a couple other times during our stay so that was inconveinent. The first room we were put in was musty smelling so we had them move us. Overall it was decent and the location was great for Cedar Point and places to eat. Needs to be cleaner though.

We stayed here for three days. The hotel is much larger than what it used to be since expansion. It now has a cabana bar outside with in ground pool and also a bar/restaurant inside. Also has in door pool, sauna, and game room. Staff seemed very nice and considerate of the few concerns we had. Make sure to put a do not disturb sign on your door though […] when you are not in. At one point when we had went to check out the pool and were returning to our room we caught a cleaning lady peaking into our room. Now we were told that she probably knocked and wanted to ensure cleanliness of our room. Which is probably what happened, but what concerned us was we were not given a do not disturb sign until we had requested it. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast. It was well prepared and nice presentation. The only concern we had about this is they actually have a "door guy" that makes sure you do not leave the breakfast room with your breakfast which seems ridiculous. I can see if there is consistently some trouble makers and they need to reprimand them somehow or charge them, but a door guy? Not only that but stopping a woman in her late 20's at the door when she has a biscuit in her hand seems prison-like. Cabana bar was awesome. Both bartenders are friendly, especially Scott, who really seemed good with people. They also serve food at the bar and will serve drinks into the late hours (as late as 2 am on good nights). This can be fun for couples who are at Cedar point with their kids and want a place to drink and talk with other adults while also supervising their children in the pool (which is what a lot of the parents appeared to be doing). We were a little let down by the hotel Grille, which is the bar/restaurant/night club. It looked like a really nice place inside when we entered at open hours at 5 pm. The bad news is, NO ONE was in there. And when I say NO ONE, I mean not even servers, waiters, nobody. Because of this we decided to go elsewhere for dinner. It als Lisätietoja

The hotel lobby is beautiful and well kept. On entering the hotel it would give you the impression that all the rooms were smoking because the hallways smelled of smoke but my room was completely smoke free. The room was gorgeous, only complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway, from people talking to […] doors closing which made it difficult to sleep. The room was very good for the price, a bit small but clean. The side entry was a bit messy and coud be upgraded. The breakfast was very good except there was not enough room for all of the guests.
