It was a quick overnight with Breakfast and they had room for my truck and trailer in the back parking lot... yay. Made my son's 'move-in' weekend much nicer.

Met our expectations fully given the price and type of hotel. La Quinta is a mid-class hotel which is fully functional and exactly what I was looking for.

Very convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included in price and was plentiful and offered a good variety of things to choose from. Rommel was very clean and the bed was super comfy. I stayed 4 nights and so had opportunity to really judges the accommodations. Should be rated as at least a 31/2 star hotel.

The hotel was clean and great location for me. The bed was very comfortabl and the breakfast was very good. The hostess for breakfast was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

About what you would expect from this sort of hotel. Coffee machine was inadequately maintained. Hotel was clean and comfortable--but had clearly seen better days.

Good! Around the office area looks cheap holes in the walls etc. also a sign that said traffic school upstairs. that didnt make me feel real safe!

Internet connection really sucks! This hotel is old, but obviously remodeled. Our stay was okay, considering the price we paid.

The location is ideal for a visit to UC Berkeley and it is easy to access from major freeway (I-80). Hotel is clean and feels safe. My main complaint is the coffee at breakfast- Awful! The food was pretty good, though.

Location was convenient for UC Berkeley trip, but so so immediate area. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast room was great with the nicest lady greeting everyone and being so kind and helpful. This is, by far, the worst hotel I have stayed in my life. I had to go to a convenience store and buy cleaning supplies to use the bathroom...

This is my second time staying here in La Quinta. It was an overall pleasant stay except for the dog noises late at night (La Quinta is pet-friendly). The breakfast lady definitely was my favourite part of my stay - she's always so energetic and friendly in the morning. I love her!

The hotel was fine, and a good deal for the money. Nothing special and no problems. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty good. Location was perfect for us - just down the road from UC Berkeley, where we were visiting.

My sis and I stayed here overnight so we could spend more time in Berkeley. After walking around Downtown Berkeley all day, we BARTed to the North Berkeley BART station and figured it would be a short walk to the hotel. It was not as close as I thought, so if you plan to do something similar to what we did (not bring a car, spend all day walking), be […] prepared to walk even more once you get off BART and then be really tired by the time you get there. I admit it was my fault, because I thought it looked like a 20-minute walk on the map, but it took us twice as long and at one point, I was like, OMG where are we? But when we eventually got there, it was a nice hotel. So yeah, it's far from the BART station, but super close to the Amtrak station (4 blocks) so it's like a pro/con. The walls are paper thing so if you get a loud guest(s) next to your room, you might have to call front desk to have them take care of it. The inside of the hotel is well kept. This hotel was very close to the college and easy access to highways, interstates. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. I appreciated having free parking and breakfast included. More than adequate for a one night stay.

I would avoid this hotel if possible. The bed was passably clean and comfortable but that is where it ends. There was an overall feeling of uncleanliness and scum.

cheap hotel. 3 light bulbs broken. we asked them to fix but they said they couldn't. people smoking marijuana inside for countdown party but staff didn't take action to stop.

Hotel was clean and conveniently located by the Berkeley Marina for New Years Eve fireworks. The bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast in the dining room was great compared to most that only offer cold food. The only thing that could use improvement is the size and quality of the TV in the room. Time to upgrade to flat screen!

The hotel itself was cheerful and well-kept. The room was initially stuffy, with a lingering smell of overly-perfumed cleansers but luckily there was a sliding glass door that opened onto a miniscule balcony to get some air. It is a good value: nice room, just not close to campus. No serious complaints, but a few nits. 1. The sink and bath have hot and cold sides reverse from what I expect. 2. The bathroom light has a motion detector that always turns on the light when I enter, and I DO NOT WANT that at night, when my eyes are adapted to the dark! 3. I did not like staying in a room that did not have enough 3 prong110V electrical plugs for all of our electronic devices. I had to borrow and extension cord from the front desk in order to operate the following: 2 laptops, 2 cell phone chargers 1 breathing machine and 1 iPad. First of all, I was there for 3 nights and every time i walked in the lobby it REEKED of MJ. I mean a "did I just miss someone taking a huge water pipe rip?" kind of reeked. I'll leave it for you to decide if that's a positive or not. (I keep getting flagged for "inappropriate " language, so I'm trying to be creative with my terminology.) Room was shabby, […] but passable and clean. It smelled heavily of cleaning products, which I guess is a good thing? Breakfast was typical; toast, coffee and juice, a DIY McMuffin station (perfectly round bacon and eggs), and the now ubiquitous Belgian Waffle machine. On my last morning there was a homeless guy trying to sneak breakfast, but the staff kicked him out pretty quickly. Parking was good and it looked like it was patrolled at night, just don't leave anything in your car. It is Berkeley after all. I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the wi-fi quality was probably the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. In their defense, the gentleman that checked me in warned me that the signal was weak there. In addition to the low wi-fi signal, the registration portal that you have to click your way into in order […] to access the internet kept dropping me so I had to keep logging in. This was probably a result of the poor wi-fi connection. Overall I am pleased with this hotel for the price paid and have already booked my next stay here. A dated motel in some of the decor, but kept scrupulously clean and otherwise up to date. Newly renovated room very nice and very comfortable. We would stay there again. The location is close to the freeway and to the 4th Street stores and restaurants.

The hotel was good overall, not great. When we first arrived there was a room blunder and we had to choose to share a king bed or have our double queen room that was a smoking room (we had reserved 2 queen non smoking). It was fine and we were switched to our regularly reserved room in the morning. The room needs some updating but was clean. There was […] a fridge and microwave but the room was pretty small. I was there on business and my friend was tagging along with me. The internet was spotty and I wasn't able to get much work done because things took a long time to load and the connection was dropped many times. I ended up heading to a cafe with free wifi one night so I could get some work done. The breakfast was great, very adequate. I would only stay there again if the wifi was guaranteed to work though. The neighborhood was a little rough and pretty far from most things in Berkeley unless you were driving (we were so it was fine).
