Room was not ready on time.

The hotel felt outdated and a little dingy/stale.

Quiet, Quant and perfect location to and from my business. The only difficulty I had was the parking. It seemed the get full friday evening which made it difficult for me to park in front of my designated "B" entrance. other than that I enjoyed the breakfast bar, the little dorm like room. I checked in on Wednesday,April 11. That night,I took a shower in the room and the water pressure was so low,it would had been impossible for me to wash my hair. My companion told the front desk and we were changed to another room. I appreciated the customer service and attention to complaints. I thought I'd take a step up from Travelodge and Super 8 where I ususally stay, since it was our anniversary trip. The motel was great, but not quite what I expected. Maybe HJ isn't as luxurious as I think it is. Service was great, everything else is acceptable. I would stay again if there wasn't anything cheaper.

The front desk manger gave a room key to someone who wasn't authorized to get into our room. SCARY!! She claimed she "checked id" however if that was true then she would of never gave out a key to our room. We spoke to the hotel manger he said he was going to check the cameras but never did. He also said he was going to take care of it and didn't do […] that either. We had a meeting scheduled with the manger & the front desk manger however the hotel manger failed to show up. The best thing was that there was an IHop across the street. We stayed at this hotel with others. A few bagels in the free breakfast were moldy. Needless to say we did not eat anything from the hotel. The sheets appeared clean but the beds were very uncomfortable. The carpet had various spill and stain spots on it. It was also bunched in many places […] almost like it wasn't tacked down. The front desk associates were very friendly and that was about all the hotel had going for it. I did not appreciate that my teenage daughter had to pass 2 open bar doors in her bathing suit to get to the pool. The non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. Lisätietoja

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean. The only problem is the restaurant closes at 4pm i dont understand the logic in that

For a room that sleeps 4, we were given 2 bath towels. Pool towels were not provded and the front desk gave us the last 3 they had! Breakfast was not replenished as needed. When we returned for more coffee, there were more cereal choices and muffins where there hadn't been before.

A tiny bit rough around the edges but reasonably clean, ok breakfast, and location which was perfect for my visit. 2nd stay in two years. Hope to stay at HJ again in Toms River.

Fine clean hotel. Would recommend. Staff helpful and attentive.

Room was with a strong odor from cleaning products. There were not enough towels shampoo or soap. Next day breakfast room was almost empty, no milk and manager could not be found. Then when she showed up she ask us to excuse her that she was alone (?!).

We utilized the hotel rooms & Christopher's Pub & we utilized The Legends restaurant for our family surprise party! Service & food & hotel staff & restaurant staff were wonderful!

Meet friends every year there,great location for us all. Pub and restaurant big plus.

This hotel is excellent for what it is, a older well maintained motel, but deffinitely not a hotel. My only complaint was that the indoor pool water was cold. The space it was in warm but not the water.

The only negative about my stay: new TV's might be in order-otherwise the room was clean, comfortable, and convenient to everywhere I needed to go.

Pros Room was very clean, staff were friendly. Cons Skip the continental breakfast and eat at Perkins.

Had a wondeful time there with my family. Pool was great. A bit cold, but so much fun. Would come back!

Good value for price. Good place to sleep. Not much noise on a Saturday night. Breakfast was OK, waffles made on grill, 1-2-3 day old bagels.

For the price, this hotel was exemplary, and offered services usually found only in higher starred/higher priced venues. My wife & I only used it as a 'stopping off' place between two 'far-flung' work sites, but the hotel was so nice we vowed to come back sometime just for the fun of it. The only negative (and I think with some planning it might be […] improved) is that the car access to the hotel was not well-marked, and difficult to do (without going about 1/4 mile to do a U-turn). This hotel was close to our job sight but it was also very clean and well maintained expecially for the price. Would stay there again.....

I had a great stay, very comfortable. It made up for my previous stay in which the TV did not work, the phone rang with only a conversation at the front desk could be heard. And a car alarm in FRONT of my room went off. I sent a complaint, an email and made a follow up phone call. To date, I've not received any response.

Overall pretty nice place. Price was great,clean,friendy staff. The only negative would be the walls are a bit thin or the guest next to us liked there tv super loud.

The room was drafty from the outside sliding door. You could use an insulation or something to keep the draft down a bit. My only real complaint is that the shower had no pressure at all. The sink was okay but the shower was useless. Atlantic City definitely has better, no matter what hotel you are in. Well at least all the hotels I have been in. There […] are a few things that need looking into also like the safe door should not be hanging out when it is unlocked. Also the hair dryer is just barely holding on by a thread. It needs to be fixed before someone pulls it right out. Aside from these little incidentals, of which the shower is your major problem, but that is probably a restrictor that is too much and can be taken care of easily, the room was comfortable and the mattress was good and firm. Very nice place to stay. Down stairs rooms offer a sliding glass door that opens to a small patio and parking lot, so it would be possible to park your car in front of your room. The only thing that was not fulfilling was the continetal breakfast was not as fulfilling as most. While you can make your own waffles (which was a plus) not much more to eat. Business trip and needed something close to town. Place was ok for the price. The bar is pretty loud on the weekends and they are known for "swinger" parties from what the locals told me. Lots of drunks walking in halls but nothing scary. I wouldn't bring my kids here.

Good place, fair enough continental breakfast, priced right and in a good location. I was very pleased and I travel a lot (including Europe extensively). Great bargin for a traveler...you won't be sorry. Oh, and if it's a full breakfast you desire, IHOP is steps aways.

Very clean, very well maintained, but I had reserved 2 rooms with double bed and they gave me 2 rooms with 1 full size bed so I ended up paying more at the hotel. I like the bar they have there.

Everything was perfect,enjoyed the pool the room was very nice we are going to go back real soon!!

'We booked through hotels.com and asked for adjoining rooms. When we got there the clerk said they did not receive that information and didn't have any adjoining rooms available. We told them we would have to take it but that I was not happy at all about that. After reviewing the room system, the clerk "surprisingly" came up with 2 rooms adjoining. […] That made me happy and we were quite pleased with the rooms overall. The hotel is an older one but has been kept up. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. They didn't offer a broad selection of food and the room where it was served was very small. There was not enough tables for everyone. We ended up going across the street to IHOP and the next morning to Dunkin Donuts. For the price and quality, we would still recommend this hotel. OK hotel. Carpet throughout the hotel give the place a more worn out look. The room was nice furnished and the bed was fine. The continental breakfast was a very disappointing experience. We came down at about 8:30am. The trash can was overflowing and many of the breakfast items were running short or not available. We were visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving, we had three rooms total and all were well cleaned and convenient. Breakfast had a good selection for the kids, not always someone working it though so if something did run out wasn't restocked right away. Pool was nice but kind of cold, they close it to be cleaned from 8-9 am which was inconvenient, […] why they can't do it when it is closed at the end of the night or before they open in the morning? My fiancee and I stayed here Thanksgiving night, because it was close to her family. The front desk staff were fun and friendly, and got us checked in quickly. The breakfast in the morning looked a bit sketchy, and they had no to go cups for coffee, so we skipped it. The room was small, but had all the necessities and was quite comfortable.

Plus: As we've stayed at many places on Rt 37 this was the best so far. Clean, roomy, no bugs, fairly centrally located. Con: Though room was cleaned daily, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, towels were not replaced/filled. Also my wife is convinced that some of her cosmetic supplies/tools were taken from her bag.
