This hotel worked for me. My room was very comfortable and clean with a nice outdoor patio. Many TV stations and an in-room fridge. The pool is the best hotel pool I've ever enjoyed and the beach is spectacular. In the mornings it's great for young children and later in the day there are surfers as well. The bedding was fantastic as was the comfort of the mattress!!!! I truly wanted to stay in bed. But the pool on the beach and beach set up drew me out. We had a great time.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in April because of its location by a nice, sandy beach and the good rate we got at Hotels.com. Our room was nice and very clean and the beds were super comfy but we were shocked by the high prices at the restaurants and the deli at the hotel. We had a dinner buffet once (a tip of FIFTEEN percent […] was added AUTOMATICALLY to the bill) and lunch at the beach bar twice (six TINY chicken wings for TWELVE DOLLARS!) and then decided not to eat at any of the hotel's restaurants any more. We also had to pay for internet access and for parking which should, in my opinion, be included in the room rate of a hotel at such a remote location or made known to people BEFORE they decide to book an accommodation. The first front desk staff I met is not nice enough. She looks angry, w/o smile, and she is not happy to give me details on how to get to the next door hotel. I wish she finds a better job. Beautiful setting, nice beach and snorkeling. They nickel and dime you, by charging you $15 to park and $12 for internet access. We asked for late checkout and they said no. If you want a nice hotel with a great beach this was enjoyable. Food pricey also.

There was only one restaurant open for breakfast, then lunch, then dinner, thus there was little choice at the resort for meals. There were other resorts relatively close by but it would have been nice to have at least 2 choices per meal at the resort.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice stay at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and we would stay there again. Hapuna Beach is fantastic and is easily accessible from the hotel grounds. However, this is joined to the state park in case you are expecting a private beach setting. The service help was always very nice and willing but the advice given was not always […] the most useful. Be prepared to do your own research for off-resort services/activities. We also expected a little more from the resort services. The restaurants and lounge offered great options but were rarely open past 9pm. The sister property, Maua Kea, is also recommended for an exploration or dinner. Our experience at Monettes was excellent, just be prepared to spend a bit more than the Prince Hotel restaurants. Grounds very nice. Beautiful beach however the rooms need alot of work. Outdated furninture, peeling wallpapaer. We had a ocean view room which we found very outdated. The location of the hotel is great if you like access to one of the best beaches on the Big Island. You will not be able to walk anywhere, but a short drive will take you to shops and restaurants. This hotel has been rated before and accurately. If you get a great deal (50% less) than sourrounding hotels, it is a good deal. It is not the nicest hotel and they do not go out of their way to make it luxurious. It is a 3 Star hotel on service at the front desk. They were generally clueless and slapped down some drinks while checking us in as an afterthought. […] We are used to being greeted at the door with leis and drinks set on silver. Lobby area and seating is also plastic 3 star. no beach umbrellas set up etc. had to move our own chairs on the beach. The towel guys were great as was the concierge Joanne? the rooms with a full ocean are nice but only on floor 7 or 8. on 6, we had an obstructed view of a building and roof in front so could only see the ocean if we stood at the rail and looked over the roof. ask for unobstructed view if paying for ocean view. We did not know beforehand that only one restaurant would be open each night. we did not make reservations and as hotel guests were not seated. REALLY p offed at that. food was super expensive. morning buffet adequate but unchanging and sushi restaurant very good when open. pool bar food good and bar tenders there were wonderful and helpful. rooms were clean and very large and spacious. cleaning staff was also great. Just those that you see first when checking in could use a course in welcoming etiquette. Beach is gorgeous although hotel is a bit boring for the 4-under 12 set. good for teenagers who want to do nothing. pool is nice but boring. jacuzzi very crowded. Wish there had been something besides the little cafe to get sandwiches and other healthy snacks beside cheese and cracker tray to go for the day. they generally were out of food by mid afternoon although they stayed open until 8pm. some hot pasta, pizza etc would have been great. room service was fast but not much on the menu except regular kid food. no shuttle to Mani Kea as advertised. Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is a solid four star hotel. Being the only hotel on incredible Hapuna Beach is worth three stars alone. The stunning lobby is worth another half star. The oceanfront rooms are worth the upgrade, well, if you enjoy the sound of the ocean. The rooms were slightly dated (tube TVs) however, they were comfortable and had sizable, […] but again, slighly dated bathrooms. The staff are great and friendly as are the many cats that are part of their on site program for strays. Everything extra (buffets, drinks, parking, internet) is pricey, but everything in Kohala is expensive. If you are a snorkeler, there is tremendous snorkling on the north side of the beach (I even saw a manta ray). Now, granted we were there after Labor day, however, this place was next to dead (which was great for us.) At 11PM once we walked from the garage at one end of the hotel, through the lobby, through the other wing of the hotel and didn't see anyone! I don't recall if there were ever more than 50 people combined at the pool and beach. We spent two nights here and had an ocean view room with a lanai. The grandkids slept on the lanai and we listen to the surf as it lulled us to sleep. The room was clean and the bathroom had both a shower and a tub and was very spacious. The front door had a second door that allowed the breezes to pass from the front of the room to the lanai. The pool […] is a modest infinity design with a hot tub (neither of which we used as we are ocean swimmers). The beach was excellent, a white sandy beach that extends to the adjoining state beach and allows for a beautiful walk. The water was warm and friendly to both kids and adults. To us this was the difference maker. We found this hotel to be less hectic than some of the other hotels along the Kohala Coast. We did not have a meal at the hotel except for a breakfast at the Cafe which was reasonably priced compared to the offering at the main restaurant. If you want the full on hotel of experience of fancy pool, etc., this may not be the place for you. It is a very nice Resort. Me and my wife really enjoy it, The food a little expensive, so when you go be sure to rent a car so you can drive to town to eat.

Beautiful location on Hapuna Beach - the nicest wave and sand beach on the island. Definitely not the fanciest resort and rather low occupancy for a week when all other resorts were full. A luxury hotel. Nearly 5 star and location is a 5 star plus. Great views from most rooms of the sea. You can hear the surf but can close glass doors for quiet. Great meals, somewhat expensive even for Hawaii but you get what you pay for. Loved the beach and the snorkeling among the coral and lava flows. Very beautiful. I lost my coat at my room but no one call me for confirmation. Actually I like its beach view & wonderful pool.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was very good complete with robes, nicely stocked shower and bath facility. Ice was in the bucket when we arrived. We had a terrace with outside table and chairs with a view of the beach... The only problem with this hotel is that it is extremely big. The hotel should give new arrivals a map of the premises and how […] to logically orient themselves within the confines of the hotel. There are towers, and lobbies in between, and also levels and tiers. We ran into new arrivals like ourselves that were lost. We had trouble figuring out how to get to the beach, how to get to our restaurant there. Jeez.. A map would serve well here. Really nice place to stay. Very spacious and open. Right on the most beautiful beach on the island. Parking fees were a little steep.

Long white sand beaches are hard to come by on the Big Island, but Hapuna is one of the best. My partial ocean view room with private lanai was very comfortable. I used the screen doors and fell asleep to sounds of the ocean. Service at check-in was lacking. Breakfast buffet was lacking. I was pleased overall with this hotel. If you want a true 5 Star, go next door to the Mauna Kea. The grounds are beautiful at the Hapuna Beach Prince and the beach itself is gorgeous. At check in the room key did not work. I was forced to carry my luggage back to the font desk to have them reprogrammed. This happened twice, each time having to lug myself back to the font desk. Once I was able to get into the room I noticed a foul smell of what could only be urine. The room was on the first floor, upon opening the sliding door several […] feral cats ran in. I could only speculate that they had been spraying in and around the room. The smell was unbearable and I had to change rooms. This hotel is overrun with feral cats. On the beach, at the pool bar and restaurant, which is partially outside. The cats get aggressive when food is around and it made the experience frustrating. I'm not talking about one or two cats here, outside by room there were about 6 or 8 living the bushes at my terrace. When I open the sliding glass door they would all come to my room looking for a handout. The rooms were just OK. The TV was10 years old and the furniture was worn out and dingy. The rooms were pretty dated, however it did look like the bathrooms were refurbished recently. The hotel advertised three restaurants, but only one was open the entire week I was there. Expect to pay a minimum of $30 for a basic entre, plus 18% service charge plus $4 delivery fee and 18% added gratuity. Beach is great and the pool is good. The gym closes at 6pm which I thought was pretty poor for a resort hotel. On good side, the lobby is amazing, as are the grounds and golfing. Unfortunately, my experience at the Hapuna Beach prince was not a 4-stars one. It's really a 3-star facility, probably less if you consider It's overrun by feral cats. If you do stay there, avoid the terrace (5th floor) get a room higher with a balcony.... Unless of course you like cats, then enjoy. Lisätietoja

All the way around this hotel was very much a higher end resort without the high end resort rates or pretense. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable at the hotel restaurants AND spa (except breakfast at the terrace restaurant, I paid the same amount for eggs and bacon as the full buffet costs). […] We kept commenting how we have paid much much more for service like that. The pool and grounds were very nice. The guest rooms were spacious with big bathrooms and deep lanais. Guest room decor was neutral and comfortable but not super luxurious. Great setting with helpful staff, wonderful beach, nearby restaurants, covered parking and good snorkeling right off shore.

It is an odd lay out, and not very Hawaiian in it's decor. Our room was clean on check in but the next morning when we returned from a swim there was a terrible odor in the room. The location is fabulous with great views.

We obtained a great deal on a room here for late summer. Even though the hotel is extremely fancy, absolutely huge and has a breathtaking view of the ocean, be prepared to know that there is no where close for outside of the resort for shopping; dining or siteseeing. 入り口がわからず多少うろうろしましたが　ロケーションもよく　スタッフの対応はフレンドリーでとてもよかったです　ベルボーイさんたちが特に最高にいいです

Retiré de la ville et des centres commerciaux, l'hôtel est superbe et la plage extraordinaire. Les lits sont très confortables et le service efficace. Le personnel du petit déjeuner est très convivial. Le seul petit défaut : deux restaurants seulement : celui du soir hors de prix et celui de la piscine dont la carte est sommaire. Il faut donc prendre […] la voiture (il est fortement recommandé d'en louer une, on peut ainsi rouler en cabriolet ou en grosse américaine pour pas cher) pour aller aux centres commerciaux (à 10 mn) pour trouver son bonheur. Hapuna prince est certainement l'hôtel dans lequel nous avons pu nous reposer et faire le vide. Très calme, peu de touristes, une grande piscine avec une eau très chaude, une baie calme avec des vagues faciles à gérer, peu de monde (deuxième quinzaine de février), en bref prêt pour une année d'effort. !! 3泊しました。ロビーから見えるビーチが綺麗です。プライベートビーチは人も少なく(冬だから？)静かに過ごせます。ただ朝食のビュッフェの味は普通です。

ただ…、レストランが…。非常に残念（涙） ゴウジャスなホテルではありませんが、ハワイらしい落ち着いたあたたかい雰囲気のホテル。 白い砂浜のビーチは最高です。

12/20～23に滞在しました。 部屋はオーションビューで毎日オレンジに染まった 海と夕日が見え、ハワイらしい風景が楽しめました。 朝食のダイニング、オーシャンテラスは朝日こそ見えないものの、海と山が見え、朝の気持ちいい空気の中、朝ごはんが頂けますが、食事が美味しくないです。 オムレツはその場にいるシェフが作ってくれますが、火が通りすぎ、オムレツの形をしたよく焼けた玉子焼きといった感じ。 カフェハプナのホットドッグも頂きましたが、パンからして不味い！ ルームサービスでNYステーキと4種類のチーズピザをオーダーしたら、固い草履みたいなステーキと街の惣菜パン？という味のパンピザでコストパフォーマンスを考えると、とても高いです。 ホテルの環境は、海がそばで、近隣に何もなく、静かに過ごせます。

9月7日から5泊しました。コナ空港からレンタカーを初めて借りてホテルまで行きましたが、位置は地図上も現在地も道路の西側なのに、右折して回り込む道路でナビをつけなかった私達は迷いました。 他の方のレビューで有る様に、ワイキキの街中ではないので計画性を持って行動されるといいと思います。 ホテルのレストランで最後の夜サンセットを見て 食事をしました。(コーストグリル(^-^)/、 料理も美味しく、サービスの女性も感じいいです。

こちらのホテルを選んだ理由は ハプナビーチ。 とにかく綺麗な白い砂浜に、 とにかく透明度の高い海。 「気持ちいい！最高！」と何度連呼しても 足りない程の感動。 すぐ近くを亀がスイスイ泳いでて、さらに感動。 お部屋も広いし、窓も大きいためか、海を見ながらのばっちりな開放感。 夜の星も満点に見れ、言うことなし。 のんびり、とにかくのんびり・・・ 朝食も最高な景色を前にオープンエリアで頂けて気分爽快でした。 フロントに日本人のスタッフがいてくれるので 困ることはありませんでした。 時間がゆっくり過ぎていく、素敵なホテルライフを送れるとこでした。 私たちはハネムーンで訪れましたが、また行きたいです。

Ein riesiges Hotel mit allen Annähmlichkeiten, allerdings alles gegen Aufpreis :-( . Die Parkplätze des Hotels sind absolut überteuert und sollten bei diesen stolzen Preisen inklusive sein. Auch das WiFi kostet extra, allerdings ist der Check-In Service des Hotels ein plus Punkt. Man erhält einen Coupon und kann damit seinen Flug einchecken und direkt […] das Flugticket ausdrucken. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die wunderschöne Hotelanlage mit seinem grossen Pool und dem direkten Strandzugang an den "schönsten Beach" dieser Region. Hotel bellissimo, direttamente su una spiaggia grande, pulita, con mare cristallino. L'hotel è bellissimo, un po' caro ma se avete bisogno di rilassarvi e riposarvi è l'ideale. Le stanze sono belle, spaziose, pulite e con terrazzo. Al di fuori dell'hotel non c'è niente, meglio avere un auto a noleggio se volete girare un po' l'isola, che a mio avviso […] è stupenda . L'auto si può noleggiare direttamente all'hotel e lasciarla l'ultimo giorno all'aeroporto, comodissimo. La colazione è super abbondante, nella nostra prenotazione non era compresa, è abbastanza cara ma essendo a buffet è super abbondante. Volendo, se avete fretta o volete risparmiare, c'è la possibilita di prendere solo caffè e muffins o brioches nel baretto dell'hotel. La sera ci sono dei ristoranti sempre all'interno dell'hotel, noi abbiamo mangiato solo una sera ma ci siamo trovati molto bene. Lo consiglio soprattutto a coppie che vogliono alloggiare direttamente sulla spiaggia al di fuori delle mete turistiche. Lisätietoja
