The clerk who checked me in set the pace for an excellent visit. I arrived early and checked me in with no hesitation. He signed me up on Priority membership to take advantage of privileges right away! Awesome staff!

This is a very good hotel for a visit to San Antonio. Closely located to the airport, with a shuttle service to and from. Local neighborhood seems safe, with mall and restaurants nearby.

The hotel was right off the highway and very conveniant to surrounding restaurants and the mall was just accross the highway. The in house restaurant and bar was very conveniant.

Lobby was nice & pleasing to the eye. When I got to the room, boy was it disappointing. Was small & in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathroom did not have a ventilating system, which made the bathroom damp, steamy, & smelly. Shower head was horrible. Had to run around to get wet. I want to be drenched when I shower, not be given small bursts of […] water. Didn't feel too clean after a shower as I'd like, though I'm sure I was. Also, don't like push button toilets personally. Prefer ones w/ a handle. Also, prefer sink to be outside of bathroom which allows more people to get ready at once. Room itself was very narrow & small. Window did not extend from one end of the wall to the other. Had a littie, bittie view of the highway. AC was good though. Kept room nice & cold. Had an old fashion tube TV. Did have a microwave & fridge so that was good. Did not have a couch or a sitting area or a table to eat on. Just had a recliner. Wish I had a little sitting/eating area of some sort. Would have made stay a little more pleasant. Beds were comfortable & clean. Room was clean. Just too small. Wasn't what I expected. The online pictures made the room look big & inviting, which is why I chose the hotel, but when I got to the room, it was very disappointing. Oh, & another thing. No free continental breakfast! Patricia and front desk staff were very friendly and provided a birthday cake for my daughter on her birthday on St.Patricks Day. Everyone was very Nice and friendly! Thank you!

The hot tub was nice but needed some maintenance. Beds were a bit too firm but overall real good experience.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Very clean room and very quiet. Easy access to all areas of San Antonio. Plenty of parking around building.

The location of the hotel is the only area of difficulty. But, once you learn how to get to the property from the east and west of 410, there really isn't anything left to complain about: Just as a tip, McCullough Ave is how I decided to handle it. When traveling eastbound, you will take McCullough Ave and cross 410, then either (middle of day) cut […] directly behind DoubleTree on the access road, or (late night / early morning) go to Marquis St to Mertz Dr. Coming westbound, I just took the McCullough Ave exit and QUICKLY got across to right lane to pull into hotel entrance. GPS doesn't work well on many San Antonio highways due to so many roads being above/below/next to each other and the systems get confused as to which you are on and therefore give bad directions. As for our stay, the room is typical Holiday Inn room. Nothing special, nothing bad. A room. Some beds. A TV. Possibly a mini-fridge. A bathroom. This isn't the Hilton. But, it is what I paid for. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was very nice for my caffeine addicted squad of ladies. Room service was very prompt and the food was good (again, folks - its Holiday Inn food - this isn't Emeril). There is also a restaurant and sports bar. The weather was too cold for us to use the pool or hot tub, but the area looked nice and was very clean. The gym is very small, but has all the basics. For us, this was the perfect combination of low rate and good service. We used the hotel to attend the Air Force BMT graduation at Lackland and you can get there in about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic/weather. Some will say the carpets are dingy or the rooms are small - again .. this is not a high end resort, but for the price point, it was head and shoulders above all the others in that bracket. The four of us were very comfortable, and with easy access to North Star Mall and 3 ladies to entertain, I really enjoyed my stay. ;-) If you stay in San Antonio, be sure to hit up the Palladium for movies. had a non smoking room but as soon as we stepped out of elevator was overwelmed with stale smoke oder, room also had a very stale smell to it.

The Holiday Inn is a decent hotel in reasonably good condition with nice staff. The property is older, and has not had any significant renovation or upgrades in recent years, however it is maintained to a decent standard, and the room was relatively comfortable. The place is typically packed with airline crew members and groups such as school kids. […] Given the good location near the airport, North Star Mall, and easy access to IH-410 and Highway 281 to dowtown, this is understandable. Nothing fancy, but a decent value for this good location. Despite the location right on the Interstate, the room was quiet. This was also true even though my room was located virtually in the elevator lobby on my floor, so it was a pleasant surprise to not hear the "pings" every time the elevator stopped on the floor. Free newspapers are a nice touch, and the pool looked fine. Food and other items in the on-site convenience store and cafeteria-style cafe were typically hotel-over-priced, however there are so many food and shopping options nearby that you don't need to spend a dime at any of these on-site vendors, unless you choose to. Overall, a decent value in a very nice location. Easy, free parking is also a nice touch, since so many hotels now gouge you for parking, even in suburban locations. Lisätietoja

The lights in my bathroom suite was not working and i repeatedly asked to have them fixed and they neglected to do so. I had to use the potty and shower in the dark with two children. It was so uncomfortable. so sad! i requested several times.

This hotel is okay, no frills. I was in a non-smoking room on a smoking floor. The room was fine, but the entire hallway smelled like smoke. There is a Holiday Inn Express literally next door, and a Drury in adjacent to that. The Drury has free happy hour food and drinks. I'd stay at one of these instead.

Front desk personnel were extremely helpful.

The only thing I have to complain about is the beds. They were very uncomfortable. It was as if the top mattress was bigger then the box spring. You just slipped off the bed. Need to get new beds!

The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The food service and quality prompt and delicious. I would and will stay there again.

We were a bit disappointed with the quality of the hotel. Also we had reservations for 2 rooms with 2 double beds and when we got there they said they were full and that they only had 1 double bed with a sofa bed per room. Not what we had reserved and paid for. Rooms were not as clean as we expected. Parking space was limited.

Nice, clean hotel. Comfortable bed. Good location. I didn't have to pay for parking unlike the Hilton down the street. Check in and check out were both very quick and hassle free.

The hotel is excellent but there is a HI express prior to this one that offers you continental breakfast. This one do not offer nothing.

Husbands complaints: *Room had no sugar for his coffee (but when we asked they brought it quickly) *TV should have been nicer for price of the room The restaurant's food was great!

Nice hotel with good size bedrooms, Microwave and a Fridge. Th room was very clean first day. But the problem is when you stay more than one day. Day # 2 Towels were stained, went to front desk and compalained in the morning. The same day before leaving the room we put a sign that we wanted our sheets changed. When we come back the trash was not taken […] out and sheets were the same from previous day inspite of me putting a sign infront of my room door and letting the front desk.I compalined again to Manager on Duty, we got a complimentary breakfast!. The price was really good especially because we were on a budget to take our daughter shopping to the Northstar Mall which by the way was walking distance which we loved. The restaurants nearby were also a plus for us because after shopping all day long you just wanted to get back to the room and not have to go anywhere far to go out for dinner. We […] also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel, it was awesome, full breakfast and the buffet was just great. All in all, we enjoyed our room, the beds were nice and soft, the air condition was just right and we are planning on coming back next year for school clothes shopping and we know where we are going to stay....... The hotel was clean and comfortable. It had a convenient location and was equipped with extras, coffee, snacks, pool, workout room, free wireless, etc. The walls were a little thin, but not too bad. It was a good stay.

Das Hotel bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für eine Übernachtung vor einem frühen Abflugtermin. Ein kostenloser Shuttle bringt einen in fünf Minuten zum Flughafen. Gute Shopping Mall kann zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreicht werden.
