Crowne Plaza Hotel Irvine-Orange County Airport - Irvine

Prices were reasonable. Convenient location. Down the street from the Airport. Resturaunt was very good. Internet speeds were average. Overall good experience.

I enjoy the sauna. They have two small ones and they get good and hot. They are dry saunas and each accommodates 2 people at at time. There was a black sock (dirty or clean?) in the corner of the hall by the elevator on 6th floor. I would laugh to know how long it occupied that corner. Perfect for a biz traveler. Free airport shuttle which runs till 11pm; shuttle driver said they can take you anywhere within 3 miles (that's nice) Good quality hot breakfast was included. My room had two beds, but they didn't look like Queen beds?? (maybe full?). Surrounding area is a biz park, but that didn't bother me. i expected more from Crowne Plaza hotels but was very disappointed the free Breakfast they offer was not good at all..food was terrible,bed had some bugs..

My son and I stayed here. There were lots of teens (4 charter buses full) staying at the same time for some sort of convention. Most of the time it didn't pose a problem, except when they were all leaving or arriving at the same time, which happened several times per day. The last time it happened was check out sunday morning. I was on the 12th floor, […] and the kids were all staying on lower levels. Each time, about 5 elevators in 10 minutes were already full of these smart opportunistically capitalist kids and their luggage. They were getting on at the lower levels and taking the scenic route to the top of the building. I ended up calling the front desk, and suggested a bell man board in the lobby and bring an elevator to my rescue. Crowne Plazas solution was to come up and take me down in the survice elevator. I was thankful for the accommodation, not thrilled though. Had I not been a little rushed, I think I would've been stranded til the kids evacuated. Lisätietoja

The kids loved the pool and rooms were wonderful. Breakfast certificate would have been better if it was for our choice instead of just for one item. Also kids only had 2 choices for breakfast, pancakes or french toast, more options would be nice. The food was good though as well as the service!

Would recommend only because of location and friendly, relatively-helpful staff. Definitely needs updating and know to bring my own pillows. Had to call Housekeeping about 2 issues, which were remedied.

The room was lovely and the equipment in the fitness center was top of the line. Unfortunately we were surprised by an excessive parking fee that reduced the value of our reservation.

It was an interesting experience. I was here for work with 2 other employees. The room and location were nice, however I had a disturbing experience outside my room one night. A small boy was crying in the hallway naked for 15 minutes by himself-with no supervision. I called down to the front desk and told them the boy had been left alone and that I […] was worried about him. To my disbelief I found out that front desk never sent anyone up to our floor to check on him. When I called the next day they said they weren't responsible for noise or neglected children in their hotel. They brushed it off like nothing happened. This is a great place, especially for business travel. They have 3 wireless access points to select from and all had fantastic connection speeds. This may not be something people tend to call out in a review, but during business travel, truly high speed Internet is very critical to me.

Clean, comfortable, nicely appointed hotel. Neighborhood is in a business park, so nothing to really look at out of the windows (but the room was nice, so no worries there). Know before you go: the parking surcharge is $15 a night and there's no street parking, so be prepared for that. That said, you can go in-and--out as often as you want on that charge. The […] fitness center was very clean, but very small. It really could have been captured in one picture, instead of the few that make it look bigger (plus: towels and water IN the fitness center. This hotel is very nice (pool, gym,bar:-). My only complaint is that I had to pay to park. I wish they had let me know that before booking. I may have gone with something else had I known.

Otherwise totally average. Could definitely use some updating.

I wasn't expect to pay 15$ for parking per night. And I got only two coupons for free breakfast, but I book Hotel for four, and they charge Exstra 15$ for "free breakfast" Over all nice and clean. Pool need some remodel. Mini golf was fun for my children.

Convenient location off the freeway, worked for a one night stay. Was told our breakfast was complimentary, then was charged for it because we didn't have a coupon. Requested roll away bed, couldn't supply one...because of a fire hazzard...wished we were told that before we booked.

The Employee by the name of Karina needs to get some type of training in customer services, I asked her,if it was posible to turn up the volume on the flat screens in the bar area..... well it took her for ever ,so then I asked if I could assit her? she said NO....and when she did get it working, she turned to me and said "is that better?" with an acttitud. Nice clean hotel and everything was fine. The only thing I didn't like was $12/night for parking.

Central locaton. Great price. Very clean. Front desk helpful. Room very nice for price we got and parking fee wasn't unreasonable.

I travel frequently for business so my expectations are basic, a clean room and internet access for work. Not able to connect, their only option was to forward me to an outside tech support service. Problem was too much noise on the hotel land line so I could not communicate w/ the technician. After their engineer came up and could not resolve, they […] put me in another room. Same problem. 2nd time I've stayed at Crown Plaza. Everything was fine and in working order. Nice clean rooms. Quiet "walls". Only downside is having to pay for parking....$12? But very convenient for Irvine activities and close to John Wayne Airport. May be a bit expensive, but....

Decent hotel. Great price for the area. Very convenient for business around the airport with a handful of decent restaurants in the vicinity. Hotel has a nice little pool, hot tub, and sauna.

The hotel itself was nice and conveniently located to UCI where I was attending an event. Visually, the hotel is well kept and offers a welcoming comfortable atmosphere. I found the parking lot spaces very tight (but I do drive an SUV) and they charge for their parking (first hotel I have been to that did that and I have been to quite a few). The […] biggest gripe I have (and I know this was less the fault of the hotel, but I will explain) was I booked my stay through hotels.com and the reason I chose this hotel specifically was for 2 reasons, one, proximity to the event I was attending and two, the fact that it was the only hotel listed in that area that said it had 3 sleeping areas (It listed a king bed, a double and a fold out couch) in one room. Since I had 4 in my party, my wife, who can share the king bed with me and 2 guy friends that would probably be fine on a queen together, but when I saw this, I jumped on it as I wanted to give them each their own beds to sleep on without having to shell out another chunk for an extra room). I didn't find out that this wasn't available til I reached my room. When we entered, I was like, where's the other bed? So I called down to the front desk. I asked where the 3rd bed was, the lady at the front desk said they do not offer that, I explained that hotels.com said they did (btw, I was calm and inquisitive when talking) and asked if there was something else we could arrange so that my friends didn't have to share a small foldout couch bed. She was a bit rude saying that there was nothing she could do and basically I had to just 'deal with it'. I then asked if they at least had a cot that could be brought up to the room, she said she would ask the housekeeping, but doubted there was one. Maybe 10 minutes later someone arrived with a cot, so problem solved, but the way she handled it kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. In Irvine business district of high end offices and close to John Wayne Airport. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was good.

Rooms weren't available by 3pm check in time so they upgraded us to the executive floor at no additional cost. What would have happened if that room wasn't available??? It took us over 30mins to check in. People that came in after us were checked in much more quickly than we were. In addition, we booked rooms with a full breakfast for our entire stay. […] There weren't enough tickets that were allocated so we asked for enough for our stay so they had to get more. Prior to our trip, we contacted Hotels.com to add 2 children that was conveyed to the hotel directly; but when we were checking in, they would not give us the breakfast vouchers for them. They said they could only honor the 2 adults. They had the same breakfast buffet day after day. They need to change it up a little so it's not so redundant. They gave us 2 drink tickets due to all the issues we encountered while checking in. However, when my husband tried to use them, they would only let him use one of the two per night and then he had to pay extra because the drink he wanted wasn't covered completely. That was ridiculous. They give us a voucher, but then nickel and dime us for a couple of dollars. Unfortunately it cost them future reservations. We will not being returning to this facility again. The shuttle service is a plus. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful The restaurant is okay but you can walk or take shuttle to nearby restaurant too. Overall, very nice experience at this hotel.
