Hampton Inn Atlanta Airport - College Park

The title says it all.

clean hotel and room the oatmeal cookie at check-in was great too!

I would stay there again.

The hotel was close by the Atlanta airport and the room was small, but fine. The problem was waiting for the Hampton Inn van at the airport the night of my arrivial. After seeing every possible hotel/motel shuttle bus and van arrive--I called the hotel after 20 minutes and was told the hotel van was on the way. After about 40 minutes, I made another […] call and I was told the Hampton Inn van was in the shop for repairs and there were using the Super van for pick ups for the the hotel. After an hour in the cold, another hotel van driver said she would drop us ( myself and another couple) at the Hampton Inn. There was no prior knowledge of this lack of a "Hampton Inn" van, which had been broken down for many days and the Super 8 driver never go out to say that he was taking people to the Hampton Inn because their van was in the shop. I can't say enough good things about this hotel! Check in was FAST! I was up in my room within 5 minutes of walking through the door. I was staying on a layover and the airport shuttle was quick and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff at this particular location really made the hotel. They were very fun, very friendly, above and beyond anything we could have asked for. We were there for a convention at a surrounding hotel, and the nature of the convention allowed for costumes and all kinds of unique attire. The staff was helpful getting the items in the room and the outfits […] in without drawing a lot of attention to them, as well as very friendly asking us if there was anything we needed, or that would improve the stay. They were helpful with directions and finding restaurants in the area. One of the hotel staff even learned of a new coffee drink I taught them to make. Next year, I won't even try to stay at the hotel hosting the convention, we are staying at the same hotel we did this year. No question about it. And the breakfast really made the stay superb. The quality of food, the fact that it was there late enough that we weren't racing to get down there on a weekend morning. And they had awesome coffee. Then this is a perfect place to stay...free breakfast, $7/day to leave car & use free shuttle to be dropped off at your gate. Plus great staff & room.

The staff were more concerned with the pizza being delivered than the customers. The first 4 people ahead of me in line all came back to the desk because they were given keys to rooms that already had people IN THEM and most were already SLEEPING! Then I was told that my credit card had been declined and I needed to "pay again". The key words were "pay […] again". I explained that my creditcard had been charged months ago and I had confirmation with me. They quickly "looked somewhere else" and realized I had paid. So the lady give me my keys and I ask if she is SURE that my room will be empty when I go to it - having just watched 4 other guests return to the front desk. She says she checked and we are fine and hands me my keys. I requested two rooms which were to be adjoining. I had even called the hotel to request that again -being told that would not be a problem. So when the front desk hands me the keys and says room 2xx and 3xx. I ask about adjoining rooms. The front desk says - those are "close". Really? I mean sure they are in the SAME hotel but they are on DIFFERENT FLOORS! I have 2 teenagers with me who were to have their own room. I can't really put them on a different floor! So they shuffle around and give me two new keys - saying they are "together". I clarify - adjoining. She repeats together. They were on the same floor and were across the hall from each other...so again not adjoining but at least on the same floor. The next morning one of my teens tries to open my roomdoor (which was bolted) with her key from her room....the door opened. I think the hotel has an issue with their electronic key system that needs to be addressed by owners/managers. Having keys open other doors is a HUGE security issue! I think the manager needs to train her staff on customer service - especially how to handle concerns or when there are 6 people trying to check in at the same time how to handle a rush of people. I get so tired of pastel hotel rooms. This room had a lot of wood, and rich colors in the decor. Hampton Inns are always comfortable, but I liked the originality of this one. The room was also wonderfully clean, and the staff very courteous.

One of the best Hampton's I have ever stayed in. Great breakfasts. Wonderful work space and evening reception with food too!

Incredible front desk people who went above and beyond! Incredible!!

We stayed overnight on December 31st and we liked it. We found the shuttle right outside the airport (it does not work between 12.00 and 4.00 a.m., if I remember correctly. Then it runs every 30 minutes) and the hotel was just a few minutes away. We could actually hear planes but this happened only a couple of time. We booked the superior room, which […] was spacious and comfortable. The bathtub could be cleaned a bit better (there were some hairs inside) but the rest was spotless clean. Staff was nice, especially the shuttle driver. We could not try their breakfast because we left at 5.00 a.m. and there was nobody to prepare a basket but there were tea and coffee facilities in the hall.I would go there again for an overnight stay. Nice hotel comfy modern rooms very close to the airport with free shuttle. Good breakfast. Only complaint was the check in and out staff, felt like they would rather be anywhere else but there! Otherwise great

The Hampton Inn was a good hotel I would stay there again. It would really would be awesome if they had a refrigerator and microwave in the room... The breakfast was really good...

very nice hotel, convenient location to airport. Airport shuttle arrived promptly at airport to pick us up-about 15-20 minutes. Room very nice except for a drip in the bathroom. Noise from airport is not enough to keep us awake. Buffet breakfast was good with a wide variety of foods to suit with any desires. We will definitely stay again.

Nice room, good breakfast and shuttle was on time and convenient. Only complaint was only 7 day parking with stay, had been told 14 days. Staff welcoming and helpful, only a little noise from planes and it did not keep us awake at all. Will definitely stay there next time in Atlanta.

Extraordinary in Service! Thanks for a lovely stay. You provided shuttle, customer service, and terrific breakfast. If we asked, we received assistance and did not want for anything. Painting was being done outside the building, but it was never an inconvenience. I commend the HAMPTON! Great Job! We will be back.....thank you!

I came in late from out of town the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The front desk was very helpful and hospitable, despite my late night arrival. The room was clean and well laid out, very comfortable bed and pillows. The TV reception/ picture was not HD, but I only watched the morning weather before departure. The breakfast was stocked complete with […] fresh fruit, warm food, and hot coffee. The shuttle to the airport was prompt, clean, and the driver was very friendly. This is a great place to stay! The People are friendly and the proximity make for a great combination. The one draw back, if you call it on is the quality of maintenance accomplished on the facility. to be blunt, it was just sloppy! What a great stay!

free parking for three days and free shuttle to and from airport makes this place a winner!

hotel is being remodeled and does not have the "Hampton" feel yet.

This hotel was conveniently located near the airport as we were only overnighting to catch a flight out early the next morning. It was also convenient to have a Ruby Tuesday restaurant within walking distance where we could have dinner without having to call a cab.

The hotel was remodeling, which I woulldnt have minded, but when I stepped on a piece of tack strip through the carpet an it cut my toe, that was bad. Then we had dust over our clothes. Plus, the room smelled weird, and the satellite was out most ofthe night, which they failed to mention on check-in. Was close to the airport though.

Impressed with the high level of customer service provided. 5 friends & I travelled internationally and was bumped from our flights, which caused us to arrive at the hotel 2 hours before our check out time. My second time staying there in a few years and still just as great! Staff is wonderful. Beds are comfortable. They are doing renovations, but it didn't effect our stay. Jewell is great at the buffet.

The Hampton Inn Atlanta South was a great hotel. I had to go into Atlanta every day on the Marta and the shuttle service was very punctual and left every 30 minutes. The hotel is going through remodeling and the second floor was completely under construction. My room on the fourth floor was one of the updated ones and looked great. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet.One thing to remember is that there are no less than three Hampton Inns at the Atlanta Airport so make sure you get on the correct shuttle at the airport. Changed rooms 4 times until we got one that had the rightaccomidations or a tv that worked. then the staff couldn't keep up with where they had put us and rented the same room to someone exse at 2:30 in the morning. will not stay at this motel again. staff acted as if they could care less about your satisfaction.

Room very good with the exception of a noisy airconditioning unit

Nice stay. convenient to Airport and well kept. No safe or fridge in room was the only drawback. Other than that nice place.

The staff was very nice and the remodeled rooms are very nice and once they get the t.v. problem fixed it will be near perfect.

The staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. My stay was short but very comfortable. The breakfast bar and beverage service was plentiful, nutritional and attractively displayed .

This hotel served our need for an over night stay well. The staff was courteous, room & bath were clean & comfortable, and the breakfast included a good variety of items.

Overall our experience was positive. The only hiccup was the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The Hampton Inn shuttle bus drove right past those of us waiting for it. The shuttle never stopped. Another hotel shuttle service took us to the hotel. The room was clean, the check-in process smooth and the continental breakfast decent.
