Checked in late. Check out early so really did not get a chance to enjoy. Would stay again...

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Great suggestions to local sights, and restaurants, printed directions, good food - very nice stay!

Perfect in every way. Quiet, aesthetically pleasing lodging. I looked forward to the peaceful comfort of my room at the end of each busy day! Lovely.

Enjoyed it. Second time I have stayed there. I will stay there next year too.

I liked so many things about this hotel; location, meeting rooms, pool/hot tub, room itself. The only thing I was disappointed about was NO bathtub. I somehow survived to tell this tale, so it must not of been so bad but it did make me pause.

First time staying at this hotel and it was a great experience overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only bad experience was that the jacuzzi water had a bit of a weird smell, like stagnit water. But other than that it was great. I would book again with this hotel.

Our stay was most pleasant, and the courteous and willing staff helped to make it so. The hotel was excellent value, with free parking and a shuttle, which took us to and from the theatre. A coffee maker in the room guaranteed a good start to the day, which continued with an excellent reasonably priced breakfast. I stayed at the Hotel Hanford for a business trip to Irvine. The following night I stayed at the Hilton across the street so I was able to compare. First, the service at Hanford was better. When I arrived, my Hotels.com reservation hadn't made it to the desk yet, but they checked me in anyway and swapped the reservations out when they hit. At the Hilton, […] same problem, different reaction. They just fumbled around trying to figure out what to do. The room at the Hanford, much nicer. Nicer bed, nicer furniture, decor, bathroom finishes much nicer. And free parking. The Hilton $21 self park, $28 valet. (Are you kidding!? This isn't New York guys... it's Orange county... and the lot was empty. I have no idea why they would need to charge for parking. It's just a ploy to get an extra buck. The staff was great and attentive to all my needs. The hotel restaurant and bar service was spectacular. I brought my French Bull dog on the trip and the staff was very pet friendly. I would definetely stay here again.

We stayed for a week visiting family. Room service was awesome, food was great and service prompt. Room was comfortable and clean, quiet. A couple things marred an otherwise perfect stay. The bathtub wouldn't drain while you showered and although we let them know, it was never fixed. The worst was our experience at the restaurant downstairs on our last […] night. Food was very good, but the waitress was clearly new and didn't know anything about the menu or waiting tables for that matter. Free parking, free internet, free shuttle, friendly staff. Compared to other hotels in this area the Hanford is your best bet. The hotel is really close to Southcoast Plaza, the shuttle can take you to and from the mall (extremely convenient during the holiday rush), and the Camp is also down the street. Great experience.

Sorry, I wanted to like this hotel but the key didn't work, the heat didn't work, there is almost no lighting in the room, and I had to move at 10:30 pm (after unpacking) because the heat was not working properly and it was a cold night. Loved the convenience of the location

Loved the service! I went up to my room to discover it was on the street side. I'm a light sleeper, so the minute I walked in the room I knew I would have a noise problem. I called the front desk to ask for another room...not a bit of hesitation. Andrew graciously offered to send the bellman up to my room to help me move across the hall. No need, I […] just went down and picked up my new keys. The beds were comfy, but the pillows were too thick. My only "not glowing" comment about the hotel. I'm sure they would have brought a different pillow had I called housekeeping. The shower was wonderful...enough pressure to wash the shampoo out of my hair and two shower heads. Have stayed at this hotel at least 3 separate times. All rooms are new, beds are comfortable, and the place is run and maintained well.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was very well maintained and the staff was pleasant and responsive. The price was a little on the high side by about $25 or so. We would recommend it to others.

Pool too cold to swim in even though they call it heated. No coffee or tea in the rooms. Coffee only in lobby mornings, but I arrived to get some at 9:12am and it had already been taken away. I asked at the front desk if they had any left and they said and they cheerfully sent me to get some in their restaurant, but their restaurant would only give […] coffee for a charge. Overall good stay; Newly decorated hotel very clean and beautiful; But front desk staff varied; One stingy staff member Brian didn't seem happy about my request for kleenex boxes for our room. Housekeeping had missed that item for us, and Brian wanted me to justify why we needed it. He asked if it was 'for use while putting on make-up'. My first visit to this hotel was great; my second a disaster! Needed to relax and soak in the spa, but the pool was closed for a wedding (for 4+ hours, not mentioned during booking). Decided to try happy hour at Savoy, the restaurant. It took over an hour for my appitizers to arrive, and the place was empty...only about 3 tables. When I went to pay […] -no discounts for happy hour! I don't really care about the cost, but the front desk should not promote a happy hour that does not exist! I noticed what looked like hotel management roaming around in their nice suits, doing absolutely nothing to assist the staff. We unfortunately left some property in the room. We contacted the hotel the next day, they said they'd get back to us. They didnt. Another call the 2nd day I was repeatedly told in a nasty manner that NOONE at their hotel took it or has ever stole guests property. Well this time, thats not the case. On day 3 , I was finally contacted by the Mgr who […] took the same position of the receptionist. They did not have my property and NOONE at their hotel took it. He was certain of this because he inquired with the housekeeping girl who did our room and she said she didnt take it. Well Duh! Who wants to loose their job in todays economy. It was our error that left it behind, but its very disappointing that the Mgr even refused to take note of the incident to protect future guests because Noone at their hotel takes anything that is not theirs. Stayed here for one night over the Labor Day wknd. The reno on this place has been done very well for the most part BUT the A/C units are atrociously loud. The location is convenient, right off the 405 and Bristol St near South Coast Plaza Mall but expect traffic noise all night long if you're room faces the street, as ours did. That, coupled with the […] fact our room did not accomodate 5 people (as hotels.com assured me they did with a pull out sofa in the room - there wasn't one - just a wingback chair) created difficulty for our family of 5. The hotel staff offered no alternative other than booking a second room which I wasn't about to do so we had to mock up a bed for our 4 year old out of upolstered benches. Not a good sleep for any of us. Too bad, because even if a place is clean and pretty, it's not worth it if you can't get some shut eye. The hotel would do well to replace their dated A/C units and invest in better windows for soundproofing from the street traffic noise. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. They even tried to cheer me up after a bad start of my trip. They were very patient in explaining services at the hotel and helped me to reserve the free hotel shuttle service to go to dinner at peak dinner time with short notice. Greg the shuttle driver even outdid the front desk. I asked him about any […] near by CVS or Welgreen, and Greg offered to stop by a CVS when he takes me back to the hotel after dinner. On our way back to the hotel, Greg waited patiently for me in the car while I went into CVS. Abut the room, the decor was updated, bathroom was new and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They have done a wonderful job of re-doing this hotel. Everything is great.

Great hotel with two things missing.. 1. Ventilation in the bathroom is poorly designed. There should be a fan in the section of the bathroom where the toilet is. 2. Missing a mini fridge. It would be so convenient. Otherwise, one of the best hotels I've stayed in a while.

Every staff person was genuinely friendly and helpful. The happy hour appetizers were great but we explored the nearby restaurants at The Camp, just a short walk away, as was the Southcoast Mall. There were even parks for the dog nearby (no weight limit!). I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was very nice and the beds were comfortable and clean. The only "issue" I would say I have is that there was a car promotion or something going on that weekend with a lot of music and people in front of the hotel. That said, I believe that all guests should be made aware of that prior to booking.

This place is great! Very modern and so very comfortable. Right off the freeway, a stone's throw from the OC fairgrounds. Excellent restuarant choices nearby. I will without a doubt be staying here again.

Beautiful hotel.. i loved the lobby and the room. the bed was gorgeous and comfortable. it is a short drive from the beach. my only complaint it that our room did not have a microwave and fridge. The price was great!

Nice hotel, that is easy to stay at...easy to find, easy access off the 405, easy to park. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. This used to be a Holiday Inn, so I was hesitant to stay, but I'm so glad I did. This will be my first choice hotel whenever I'm in Orange County!

Very nice hotel. Fast internet wireless connection. But there is no fridge in the room. It's very nice hotel to stay overall.

Reading the reviews, I thought I was getting a great deal. What a joke that was. The hotel was tiny. Check-in service was a joke- the front desk clerks acted like this hotel was "The Biltmore" or something. Very snooty and snobby. They accidentally kept my credit card used for the reservation... after we got our bags to bring them up to the room, we […] were met by a stranger holding my card. Kind of scary! Secondly, there is no bath- that should have been mentioned. The shelving in the bathroom was broken and dirty. Sand all over the room. The AC unit smelled of mold. Also, we had to wake up 100 times to change the AC settings because there was no median temperature. Freezing or hot- those are the settings. The hotel is RIGHT of f the freeway and in the business area of town. VERY VERY NOISY. I am a very heavy sleeper and the sounds of traffic woke me. We forgot a toothbrush and asked the desk to bring us one, they said they would. We waited and waited- called again... and nothing. We had to leave before they ever showed up. Same problem the following morning. They charge a fifty dollar incidentals fee, which I have yet to see returned to my card. Its been nearly a week. Only plus side to this place is the comfy bed and its one of the only hotels in the area that do no charge for parking. Do not get your hopes up on this place. While I was not able to take advantage of all of the hotel amenities due to "on site filming," I thought the hotel staff was very personable, and always available to assist me. Street view rooms can be noisy due to being next to highway. Other rooms are nice and silent.
