"Great Location - Comfy Bed!"
My wife an I recently stayed here for a weekend "getaway" (We live in South Bend so it wasn't really a getaway). We stayed in a Kings Corner room on the 7th floor overlooking the St. Joseph River. Really neat room because of the 2 full walled windows. The king-size bed was sooooo comfortable! I did have 2 big issues though. The first is they do not […] have wireless internet in the rooms. Hello? They have an ethernet modem which I could never get to work. The second is that their hot-tub in the pool area did not work. I chose this hotel because it had a hot-tub, so we were pretty disappointed. The pool was nice and warm though, and they also have a decent sauna so all wasn't lost. The location is one of the best things about the hotel in my mind. No shopping really, but we are "foodies" and not much on shopping so there are tons of great places to eat within 5 minutes walking distance. We had dinner at LaSalle Grill - expensive but very good. Cambodian Thai is a couple blocks on Michigan St. and is incredibly good (it's very small and shabby, but I didn't mind). Other places that are good are the Jazz bar "Trios" and "Fiddler's Hearth" which is an Irish Pub. Both places have live music starting at around 9pm. The hotel has room service but it's very expensive. Like 5 bucks for a glass of orange juice. No thanks! There is also a decent restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel called Sean O'Caseys, which is on restaurants dot you-know-what so you can get a $50 coupon for 20 bucks. Lisätietoja

"all was good except for bedside table situation"
Everything was great except that there was only a bedside table and lamp on one side of the bed. Not the greatest scenario for pre-sleep reading,etc. Could be that it seemed to be a handicapped room and maybe all rooms are not like this.

Nice room, great view of the river, close to Notre Dame stadium, but severely overpriced on game day.

Super expensive rate (game weekend), rip off. No FREE Wifi! What place these days doesn't off this? Parking extra, super low ceiling, don't bother with an SUV. I had to meet the pizza guy in the lobby. The whole reason for "ordering in" is so that I don't have to leave my room! "It's still a decent place...."
Yes, this hotel needs upgrading, but it recently changed ownership and understandably, the hotel will be renovating everything but they had to wait until the ND football season was over. The hallways are still beautiful. My room was clean and comfortable. The furniture needs upgrading but not to a point I wouldn't stay at the hotel. I have stayed at […] this hotel for a number of years now and it enjoys a great location, has shuttle service to the airport and inclosed parking.
