Huone jo vanhahko, remontoinnin tarpeessa. Vessa oli siisti. Meillä oli huone kadulle päin ja kauhea meteli kantautui sisään asti. Meillä oli savuton huone, mutta yöllä (ilmeisesti ilmanvaihdon kautta?) tupakka haisi todella voimakkaasti huoneessa.

Nice clean hotel, big comfortable room. Good location. Very nice small cafe/bars nearby to get breakfast from. Totally worth of money.

This is a hotel mainly for tour groups. You will see large groups almost everyday. Checking in or out can mean getting stuck behind them. We had three nights in this hotel, two as part of a Cosmos tour and although the Praga is not centrally located, there was good regular public transport to the city right outside the hotel entrance. There are always long line ups at the lobby and seems not enough hotel staff to take care of the influx of customers. The staffs are not that good in English but capable for basic communication. The Wi-Fi was not working as the staff told me no password was required but didn't seem to be the case. The room was clean and big with a big bathroom. The […] wall of the room was very thin and I could hear the exact conversation from next door. The location of the hotel is ~15 mins off the subway station so you will need a bit of walking to go out. It has a supermarket downstairs so that is convenient. The neighbourhood is nice & safe but it could be noisy if you are staying on the lower floor due to traffic outside. Near the subway station a bus can bring you to Atocha train station within 20mins so that you don't have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs in the subway, and actually it is quicker to go by bus then subway for that purpose. The room rate is a bit expensive but not sure if that's the norm for Madrid hotel rate. It is an ok hotel to stay but I would recommend to search for other alternatives and compare if possible. This is an ideal coach party destination for people from all over the world. Theres no need to set a morning alarm as people unwittingly wake you up at 6.30am as they leave talking and singing in excited voices. Even late at night you'll hear people returning to their rooms without any consideration of others who might be trying to sleep. The 3 lifts […] are very cosy - 4 people per lift, adn none can be called for you when a coach party has just arrived in the foyer. Not sure if terracotta marble goes with blue carpet in the stairwell, but rooms appear to be well kitted out and bathroom in good repair. Even had a small fridge in the double room. However, did not dare to use the wardrobe for fear of the doors falling out onto me. Shame the TV channels were all in Spanish. Although a 10 min walk to the Metro, at night the area was not too well lit, the pavements are full of holes around the trees and you try to avoid walking into tables and chairs outside the small bar/restaurants. Shops open late in the area - Lidl was a disapointment. Didn't try the restaurant. Stayed one night, woudl not have wanted to stay too many - although the bed was comfortable! Lisätietoja

A 4th class hotel with rude and non-helpful desk staff in a very poor neighborhood of Madrid. All in all: a totally depressing experience.

We enjoyed the river walk and restaurants about one block away. The staff was knowledgable, but not really friendly. Although housekeeping always had a friendly greeting. The rooms are small, but clean and well kept except for one cockroach about the size of my thumb we found during our two week stay. The only problem was that when we arrived at the hotel on May 9 the same was not prepared for the heat wave that had started and that they did not have air condition until the night of the 11th. The halls were very noisy because a lot of children were running in the halls. The location of the hotel was away from the center of town. The employees were very helpful.

The rooms are very clean. The buffet for breakfest is excellent and the people are very careful. I would stay anytime at this place. It is only 10 minutes walk from the nearest metro station. Many snack bars, coffe shops, convenience store around the hotel. I stayed there week of april 15th, 2012.

Hotel Praga is located in a very laid back/residential area of Madrid where shops are more affordable than in the city center. This is nice in case you want to buy water, fruit, walking shoes, etc. It's also close to a VERY beautiful park, and about 10 minutes away from the Marques de Vadillo metro stop. The hotel is accessible by taxi, bus (line 23), […] or metro and we felt safe in the neighborhood at all times but be aware that, unlike the city center, foot traffic stops in the neighborhood around midnight. The beds were very comfortable and our room had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the park. TV was basic. The things I disliked about the hotel were: -the constant smell of cigarette smoke from other rooms that infiltrated our room -the wi-fi would often crash and take a while to reboot (disappointing because it's not free) -sometimes we would have to run the water for 10 minutes to get hot water In conclusion this is a fair/basic hotel and did meet most of our needs. It is good for people who will be constantly on the go and will not be spending much time in their rooms. If I were on a budget I might consider staying here again but I would explore other hotels in my more favorite areas of Madrid like La Latina. Lisätietoja

Hotel was okay. Location interesting. Near to center via bus 23, with the stop right outside. Good selection of bars with beer with food within 10 minutes walk. Together with many shoe shops. Wife happy about this, as I with the many bars! Would go again!

We booked this hotel prior to a bus tour as that was more convenient. Its easy to catch the bus to the main sites but is a bit expensive to take a cab. There is a beautiful public park a block away on the river which grants you a beautiful view of the city. The rooms are small but clean.

#23 bus stops right in front of hotel and takes you the half-mile to the Metro station every five to seven minutes. Two good-sized grocery stores within twenty yards of the hotel for loading up on inexpensive bottled water and snacks. Didn't try the restaurant, but it had a lot of patrons in the evenings. Analog TV small and dated.

The hotel location is great unlike those in city center crowded and full of traffic. Transport is convinent, restaurands, supermarkets and cafe in the neighbourhood. The staff are helpful and professional. I would not hesistate to stay here again if I visit Madrid.

The hotel is in good condition and our room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also modern and clean. The neighborhood is full of locals, not tourist, which is nice, but also means it's a bit out of the way. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the metro and another 10 minute ride to Opera/Sol. We asked about direction to the staff but she was not really helpful and not friendly. Not all staff can speak english well...the hotel was full with group tours, so it was kind of crowded...

Nice hotel, with helpful staff. Bus stops right outside hotel to take you into central Madrid - although can walk through the park at the back to get most places. Hotel is clean with comfortable beds, although most rooms at lower rate are twin beds (good size and comfortable) but apparently not many double or queen size available. This hotel was an average hotel. They were accommodating to move us to another room when they put us in a room with a double bed when we booked a king sized. They did tell us that the hotel was next to the Atocha train station when I emailed and asked how to get there but really it took two different metro lines and a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Staff were excellent, always helpful. Room was on the upper side of adequate for a city stay. About 7 min walk to Madrid's excellent Metro. Excellent value for money. You got what you paid for.

Praga is an average hotel. Be prepared to take the Metro into the heart of Madrid and to change lines, and a 10-15 min walk to the metro station. Our room was comfy and clean, however, there was a group of school kids staying on our floor that woke us up on 2nights at about 1 am.
