We brought the family to St Michaels for a few days. Hotel was great. Location very close to town. Even though we didn't get a suite room, the double room was more spacious than we expected. We also loved being able to sit on the balcony looking out at the water. We saw some fantastic birds! Wonderful location. Hotel is somewhat dated and could use some upgrading. Room was clean. Location was great. View was excellent! I would still recommend this location to others looking for a getaway

Just to sit on the bed and look out at the water was worth the price. Also a good place to meditate. The room was clean and comfortable, and yellow is my favor color and I could have stayed in the beautiful room for days. Service was great.

We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to the quaint and quiet town. We felt very welcomed in and around the hotel during our stay. We were warmly welcomed by the locals and endulged in the festive atmosphere just before the holiday. We are looking forward to a Spring visit in 2012.

St Michaels for Midnight madness. Nice stay with some other couples. Quite otherwise. Hotel very friendly, however, no breakfast coupons :( Breakfast was ok, no omelets, waffles, etc. Great view and very nice setting. Close to St Michaels.

This hotel had most everything you would look for, but the room showed some signs of age. The key element was that the mattresses were obviously old and not up to the standards of most mid-range chain hotels like Crowne Plaza. I would likely return, but knowing that I would be sacrificing some comfort at night.

The room rate was way overpriced for the quality of the hotel. The rooms have not been updated since the early 70's. Absolutely nothing special about the resort. The location is exceptional but the facility is at best a one star facility. Additionally, none of the hotel staff made me feel welcome at all. Great hotel on the Chesapeake. Worth the short drive to St. Michaels.

This hotel is about 1 mile from the heart of St Michael MD. Our room looked out on the river and you could see the Kent Narrows Bridge. The hotel offers meals but we did not eat there. Location is good for a two day trip and there are interesting shops, restaurants, and other local towns to explore. Would stay there again.

Location, Location, Location - Golf, Great Food, Fun location. After being away for 32 years - shortly after they opened many years ago, I revisited Harbourtown - We will go back - At least I had to promise Drew and his Dad at the pro shop. I want to wish Drew - the best in Golf - and thanks for all of his advice. Overall the stay was average. The mattress was worn and caused us morning back pain. The decor is definitely dated and the room had a smell of a little stuffy must. Our view of the lake was nice and the front desk staff was kind. This hotel was not at the top of my list, but it was worth the money spent given the rates of the other hotels in the area. The room was very clean and tidy. We had our own private deck and the area was very quiet. Perfect for an anniversary weekend! We only had wished that breakfast would have been included and that dinner would be provided past 9 […] pm in the main dining room. The "bar" in the country club looks like a basement rec room and hardly seems like a place I would want to go after the pool or golf for some cocktails. My son and I made a surprise get away to celebrate my husband's birthday. We fell in love with the area of St. Michaels and hope to go back again. The resort was very nice and the view from our room was breathtaking any time of day. Personel from the resort were very nice and accomodating. The food in the restaurant was not just "not good," it was terrible and the wait-staff/chef ignored our orders. For example, we were told a flat-iron steak was always cooked well done. My husband got a rare filet. I ordered shrimp scampi that had no garlic, no flavor--just boiled shrimp thrown on plain linguine. Wonderful place to stay! The staff at the Resort were very accommodating and pleasant. We had the room on the water and it was such a delight to wake up to such a beautiful view. Only a short drive to St. Michael's and all the great little shops.

What a wonderful getaway! We enjoyed a room with a porch view 50' from the water. Golf course was in prime shape. Swimming pool nice. There were weddings Sat and Sun which added to the excitement of the surroundings but did not encroach on our privacy. Easy drive into St. Michaels. The hotel was close to town. Room was clean and the view was great. However, the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Staff was fine.

As a person on a special diet, I was very pleased that the restaurant offered me a gluten-free crab cake, which was delicious.

We enjoyed our weekend stay. We checked in around 7:00 and went to dinner at their resturant. The food was delicious, but very little to choose from and somewhat costly. Our room was very pretty and welcoming. I would suggest that they provide microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms for their guests. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with his elderly mother. The rooms were adjoining, so we could use the door between our rooms to peek in on her throughout the night. Perfect for families who travel together but need a little privacy, too. The rooms were pretty large and had nice water views. Staffers were nice and efficient. After reading some of the negative reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with the resort. We upgraded our room to one with a log burning stove on the second floor. The person who checked us in was pleasant. The room was clean, the decor was not upscale, but acceptable. We had a nice round of golf. The course was well taken care of.
