Nice location, very nice staff, nice clean room, nothing really bad to say concerning the property... There were a lot of store fronts that were no longer open. To have seen the area before all the hope and change took affect would have been nice. Everything was good but i wish the front desk staff would have explained stuff to us.We had a club room so there was extra stuff included but i had to ask each specific quiestion instead of the receptionist just telling me what all was included with a club room.they just needed to be more welcoming.Otherwise it was nice

The nightlife in the village surrounding made for a great trip. They had put us in the wrong room but fixed the problem quickly with no questions. Breakfast in the lounge was very good as well as cocktail hour! This is a great hotel. My friends always joke that I am a "hotel snob" but this place received an A+ on my list!

This hotel was just remodeled in the last year and it is beautiful. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You could not walk by a staff member without getting a smile and a "hello". The price of the hotel was very good for such a quality hotel. The view of the lake added a bit of ambiance. It was a great stay , the weather was nice and service excellent also.

This is the second Sheraton in St. Louis that has been less than hospitable, dirty, and way overpriced. We stayed there thinking it would be fun for a family and the rooms were TINY! When we booked the room, it was supposed to be large enough to have a roll away bed. The only way we could do that was to completely cover the air conditioner. The room […] was not cleaned properly-the bathroom was dirty and we found several items from previous guests. When we asked for extra blankets, we only got them after waiting over two hours and then schlepping up to the front desk. At the pool, there were never towels out-no matter if it was 9 am or 9 pm. I have visited St. Louis once a month for the last couple of years and enjoyed many different hotels, but I enjoy the Westport Chalet and Plaza hotels most. The room was clean and although it is an old hotel they have renovated it as much as they can considering a total overhaul. The one thing that we did not care for was the EXPENSIVE breakfast. We though it would be a little high but it cost two adults 36.00 for a breakfast buffet.

Altho I had received email confirmation that my room (Delux Room King Single, Non_Smoking) was set (& paid for in advance), I arrived at the hotel after driving for 6 hours to find they had given it away. Their solution was too put me in the old section of the hotel with time-worn fittings, carpet & mattress (Double Smoking). It was an uncomfortable […] night. We have stayed in various hotels in the area and decided after our last experience to spend a little more money and to try the Sheraton both because of the convenient location in Westport and in hopes of having a more pleasurable experience. The first night we arrived late and went right o bed so didn't notice the bathroom was not very clean until the next morning. The floor was covered with spots and if you wiped a wet towel on the floor, and looked at it, it was brown!! There was spilled mouthwash on the sink counter. They moved us to another room the next morning with two days of complimentary breakfasts to apologize to us. The staff was very nice in helping us, but the cleaning staff is not good for the first floor. The desk said that the new staff works the first floor. The 3rd floor was very clean however. The building is old and there is wood rot outside in places. The pond and river are very beautiful to walk around however. HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT AND A GREAT VALUE. ONLY PROBLEM WAS TREADMILL IN WORKOUT ROOM WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

We were confirmed to recieve a deluxe king room yet they didn't have any so we received a king handicap room with water running in the toilet continuously. The room service attendant did a horrible job cleaning the bathroom tub and sink. We found Cherrios under the bed and she fail to put clean sheets on bed. Convenient to Clayton and University City. Very quite and clean!. Great breakfast and service!This trip made my sixth stay at Westport Sheraton Hotels and the third at the Chalet.

room was ok but the noise of all the room doors shuting is very disapionting.every time someone went in or out of there room. when the room door shut it made a load thump . wont stay there again unless doors quitened

Hotel was very nice although our house keeping completely skipped our room. After asking for someone to come and bring us new towels the housekeeping was gone and someone else had to do it.

Good Hotel! Loved the bed and bedding was very comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful with pretty landscapes of flowers. I would go back.

The rooms were very nice. There was a lot going on at the hotel the night we were there. Good proximity to a lot of dining options. A little confusing in that there is another Sheridan hotel on the same site, and we tried to check in at the wrong building. Overall, very pleased.

For the price, the place was great. The staff was very pleasant. We will stay there again when the opportunity arises.

Hotel was not quite what we expected for Sheraton but was adequate. Apparently discounted bookings are placed in particular wing of hotel. When I inquired if the bottled water in our room was complentary, the staff responded "Oh, no, not in this building." We ate two meals at hotel and food ranged from okay to good. The Sheretan Chalet was an aweful experience! First let me say the kids enjoyed the pool and ducks. The first room we were assigned knocked us over when we walked through the door. Apparantly there was a leak and the blowers drying the floor.. But the SMELL!!! They were friendly and helpful and quickly gave us another room. The second room reaked of […] mildew moisture, even the pictures had started wrinkling up from the effects. I was told rooms had refridgerators, nothing. The area outside by pool and lake had trash even in the bushes. My family and I decided to use a picnic table to eat dinner, we got soaked by sprinklers we didnt know existed! We laughed and moved to another table... It wasnt funny the second time. There were massive cobwebs in the windows which were too dirty to look out anyway. I had to pay for internet and the bathroom was so small you could use sink to brush your teeth while taking a shower. I hope I never have to see this place again!! Lisätietoja

First of all this is the Sheraton I thought it was going to be very nice. When you check in you think you are at the Ritz but the you start to go to you room and it is like the halls go on forever the hall ways are hot as if they have no air condition. Just awful hotel.

Wonderful 4th of July weekend at the Sheraton Westport Hotel Lakeside Chalet. Very clean, comfortable and convenient to all the sights we wanted to see in St. Louis. Definitely would recommend.

We booked a Friday and Saturday night stay, and when we decided to go early, we called to add Thursday night and found that the room rate was double the weekend rate. We opted to stay at a less expensive hotel on Thursday, but what a shame they could not add on to our weekend rate. Made no sense to me!

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, and several great restaurants are within easy walking distance. The room was clean, and the layout of the room was great. We'll be back!

The hotel is lovely. It has be refurbished and is lovely. I would definitely stay there again. We were only there for a short night and left the next morning. I wish we had been there for a few nights.

When you enter the hotel, you are on the third floor. When you ask the staff where room 147 is you are treated like an idiot not knowing that the first floor rooms are down stairs! because the entrance is on 3. The parking garage entrance is underground but there is no elevator so you carry your luggage up two flights of stairs to then take an elevator […] to the room floors. Very odd set up. The hotel is worn out, staff is unfriendly (three which we encountered) as if they are doing you a favor for allowing you to staying there. We only stayed for a couple of days and overall this is a decent hotel. It does show signs of age/wear but is clean and comfortable. A number of good restaurants/bars are in the plaza, which is a plus.

The hotel was undergoing a major remodel in the lobby and entrance but it didn't bother us in our room. The room was very comfortable and the bed and pillows were great. The rooms were very clean, quiet and up to date.

Reservation was for the "Lakeside". Hotel sign says nothing about Lakeside instead it is the Chateau. Otherwise the stay was very nice. They were working on the main entrance but the alternate entrance was easy to get to and the desk was right next to the door.

I booked a King-size Deluxe room on Hotels.com and my credit card was charged. When I got to the hotel, I was put in a room with double beds. I told the young lady at the front desk and she told me I had to wait until the next day to be moved to the correct room. The next day I was moved. The hotel was nice but overpriced for what you get. I would probably stay somewhere else next time just because of this. I would have expected at least a continental breakfast and free internet for this price. The only place you could get free internet was in the lobby.

This was a nice hotel, with very nice employees who greet you by name on the phone. Maintenance issues included: bathroom sink faucet just trickled out, the phone didn't work (when I called the front desk, I used the adjoining room which I also reserved), and the TV remote did not work. It had a very nice outdoor pool, but the indoor pool is located […] in another building, which is difficult to find and a 10-minute walk away. Overall, I am satisfied with this hotel, its location, its friendly employees, and its cleanliness. Since we were staying only 1 night, I didn't complain about the maintenance issues.
