Overall great experience, but no bar fridge. That, in my opinion, should be a requirement. I had leftover food from Baton Rouge and had to leave it behind as it spoiled over night. Not to mention no place to cool your bottle of wine. And on another note: I know not to expect much from hotel-branded shampoos. I always bring my own toiletries but in this […] instance I forgot. The shampoo and conditioner was horrible, to say the least. But, those in my opinion are minor things. The new renovated lobby, great harbour view restaurant, business centre, location, great accessible parking, closest-hotel to the casino, Starbucks 'on the spot', proximity to my own offices.... Everything was great. the only thing I would have changed was a fridge in our room, but we made do with the recycle bin, full of ice!

I really enjoyed my stay here its a luxery room..only thing I didn't like so much was the pool room because there is no privacy.there are rooms surrounded around the pool area

Nice hotel, but it is undergoing extensive renovations so the lobby is a bit of a mess (understandably). Unfortunately the front desk staff did little to impress. Very lukewarm reception.

The Marriott Harbourfront Hotel is a great place to stay if you're looking to enjoy downtown Halifax.

Hotel staff were very helpful. Considering the hotel is under renovation there was a continuance of service. I do think Hotels.com could have reported that the facility was being rebuilt and offered a discount based on that..

we were very disappointed because of the amount of noise that went on all night until 6:30am. There was a lot of students staying there and they partied and slamed doors all night long, because of the gaps around the whole door it reduced very little of the noise. it seemed that the hotel staff and security did nothing to solve the noise level. because […] of this we had very little sleep. The bed was made too hastily (read: incompletely) and being under renovation, It was a little inconvenient.

for whatever reason when we check into this hotel the room they assign to us is overlooking a roof or an air conditioner on the roof. my husband and i refuse to stay in a room without a view and we get re assigned. we also stay at hiltons and this is never a problem. the staff at checkout were superb.

For at least two hours during the night (approximately 1am-3am) a very loud and painful alarm was going off and nothing being done. This was sounding in our room. It was painful on the head and ears. We came from Toronto, this hotel is definitely a delightful hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, room is clean, great location on the harbour, guest parking little expensive.

Excellent, excellent condition of room and staff was friendly. The casin was a huge bonus and super fun. The only downfall was that my room did not have a fridge. The hotel was super close (walking distance) from some of Halifax's best bars and clubs like Reflections.

We came from Newfoundland where people are very friendly and if you are looking for hospitality , this is not the place to find it.

There was a problem with our booking. We were supposed to have free parking with our package (which you shouldn't have to pay for parking anyway, $19.95/ night) but they didn't have record of it. We had to print off our confirmation for them and it still wasn't enough. We ended up having to go back on the internet and show them ourselves where it said […] free parking. Problem solved? No. When we checked out they tried to charge us $45 for parking. We had to do this all over again and show them our confirmation, then go back online and show them again. Great location. Perfect spot to stay when you want to shop downtown Halifax, take a walk on the harbourfront, go to the casino or just drop into the local pubs. The room was great - clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and the service was great.

excellant hotel..the only negative thing i have to say is it was advertised on expedia the room was concerge room with free breakfast and evening snacks but actually it was unavailable on weekends when we were there..the front desk gave us coupons for free breakfast both mornings in hotel restaurant..highly recommend hotel

Great location on the harbour, towards one end of the boardwalk. The bus from the airport drops you just across the road, & the Hertz rental office is in the same building, so it could not be more convenient. We booked 2 rooms room 381 was very good, nice view as well. Our 2 adult sons were in room 230 which is located next to the pool. Very noisey with young children having fun jumping and loud shouting to each other. Not a good room to place young people without children who might want to sleep past 7 am. Stayed for 7 nights and the location was superb with access to everything you could wish - the Waterfront is a central attraction in Halifax with facilities to suit all tastes, the food in the Fife and Drum was of a very high standard although pricey by Scottish standards - the same applies to the wines but having said that we enjoyed many a glas during […] our stay. We booked the Concierge Room and this came with a fresh breakfast in the mornings and evening food also, our room was on the sixth floor and the Private Concierge Lounge was located there as well. Parking is very expensive in Downtown Halifax so we chose to pay the hotel offer which gives underground parking but be careful with the pillars ! :) - also when leaving by the side door you are out on to what is called the Lower Deck where again access to Tours/Walking and Boat are available. A must do is the Ferry (5 mins) across to Dartmouth at night as the Halifax Downtown building lights are spectacular and for $2.25 return (within 90mins) is a great way to round off your evening. we stayed 4 nights, first night in a king, the last three in a suite. i found it to be one of the best hotel stays ever for me. the staff was particularly attentive. the only stumble was adding a nights stay. they didn't seem to get all the changes made in their computer and it caused some small problems. otherwise it was near perfect.

Location was great, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to Halifax, which I am hoping will be soon to visit my daughter at University. If you have a chance to go for breakfast at 44, do so; Very Nice.

The hotel was very nice and clean. We booked with Expedia for a Deluxe Room with 2 double bed, however when we arrived for check-in we were informed that it was one king size bed. I showed my itinerary that stated it was for 2 doubles. I was told when booking through Expedia does not guarantee that you get what you want, it only holds the room. The staff at the Marriott Halifax Habourfront are welcoming and friendly. I felt like I was in a home away from my home. I stayed in a Conierge Room and very much enjoyed the access to the lounge for breakfast and evening offerings of some tasty food. As well, the morning adult swim time from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. was just great as the pool is the right […] temperature for a little workout swim. Too, I enjoyed the Interlude Spa having received a relaxing therapeutic massage from a registered massage therapist..very professional. The location could not be any better as museums, shops, art gallery, restaurants and the wharf are within a short walking distance. We booked an executive deluxe room but our view from the window was the building's roof. The bed was very unconfortable,parking $25.00 dollars daily. Great location, but too expensive.

It was a great hotel for our Family weekend getaway. Perfect location on the waterfront and close to restaurants and locale attractions. Would definitely stay here on our next trip to Halifax.
