We stayed here during the weekend of the Pittsburgh Marathon, in which I was participating. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We did an overnight at the Omni William Penn as we were in Pittsburgh for our son's graduation. It is a lovely classic hotel. Great staff, excellent room service, and a grand lobby. Walking distance to the clubs our son wanted to go to after dinner. A perfect evening.

It was close to where we had to go. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm, they still did not have my room ready at almost 4pm. I booked a King Room and they ended up giving me a Small Queen room, I had to take it because it was time to freshen up and get ready for a concert. Unfortunately I booked a room here already for another concert.

Hotel should be labeled the same here as it is on the street. I was looking for "Omni..." and drove past it because traffic was heavy. The sign on the front does not say "Omni". That was rather unpleasant and unnecessary.

Overall, we were very satisfied with every aspect of our stay. Our room was almost not ready when we went to check in, but luckily, we were able to check in after waiting in a long line of people who were unable to check in upon their arrival. This was a disappointing hotel stay. Valet parking was $29 with a $5 lot just across the street. Too high for this area. Also, the line to check in was stretched outside the room and down the hall. The room was cramped and had been updated at one time, but floor tiles were cracked. Waited for 2 hours after stated check in time of 3pm for the room to be ready. We were one of many in same situation, hotel couldn't give us an estimate when it would be ready. Stated reason was hockey game from previous night had many checking out late. We were headed for a concert and the delay forced us to change plans for dinner. Hotel was clean, room was nice. Within walking distance of the Consol Energy Center (About 6-7 minutes). Would definitely stay there again!

What a place!! All the modern comforts with a nod to the hotels historic past. It was a fantastic stay with one exception: Room service breakfast was lacking in every way. I had the breakfast buffet the first morning and should have done the same the second morning. Hotel has charm and reminded me of what grand hotels used to be. Service was great although room service was expensive and took 45 minutes. I ordered vegetarian sandwich and they forgot to put on th Portobello mushroom. The entire reason i ordered the sandwich. It took so long to get room service delivered i didn't call to change it.

My boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to Pittsburgh just for something different. The hotel is located right downtown and we were able to walk to pretty much everything we wanted. Hotel room was nice, expected it to be a little bigger however. Went to The Tap Room and Speakeasy which were a fun experience. Overall I'd say it was a good choice.

We would happily stay at this hotel again. It is so convenient for getting to the Consol Energy Center which was the destination for our trip. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pittsburgh.

Beautiful classic hotel conveniently located in downtown. Competent, polite, helpful staff. Good restaurant. Highly recommended, especially if you want to stay in a historic hotel instead of cookie cutter chain property.

For $300 choose elsewhere. There is no pool or hot tub, rooms are tiny, food is average at best, lobby is extremely congested and uncomfortable, staff was not courteous and overall hotel is old and not updated. Would never stay here again.

It was disruptive. The room we were originally assigned to had a terrible odor that got worse when we turned the heater on, so they moved us to another room (at 10:30 at night), but instead of upgrading us, they downgraded us. Very disappointing.

Wonderful staff from the operator to the front desk to the bartender in the (all-new) Speak Easy! That Speak Easy is way cool, offering a serious retro-styling array of drinks, plus some wonderful top-shelf liquor. And the bartender? She was THE BEST. (her name goes with "Delta" or "T. Orlando and...") TIP HER BIG.

Very friendly staff and prompt service. The room was adequately sized and with plenty of amenities. The taproom had a large selection of draft beers and friendly bartenders.

Best staff ever. Other than terrible weather (!!!), it was a wonderful weekend in Pittsburgh, made even better by our choice of the William Penn. Would recommend this hotel to others.

The location and the amenities of the Omni William Penn are great, but it was truly the outstanding staff that made our stay special. Every single person, from the maid to the porter to the restaurant manager was extremely pleasant, cordial, and helpful. It all made for a fantastic weekend away, and I look forward to returning!

You have to pay $30 for Valet parking so budget for that- I did not see any alternative parking for overnight. It was a nice clean hotel with good service. There is no pool if your family is looking for an amenity like that.

We try and stay at the William Penn every year for my husband's birthday. There is such a grand atmosphere to this hotel. The front desk upgraded us when we mentioned that we come back every year. This year the hotel seemed to have been even a little nicer- some of the older features of the rooms have been cleaned up.

The Omni William Penn is gorgeous, with a friendly, helpful, staff. The concierge, Barb, is a great asset to their staff - she was fun and full of great suggestions. We've stayed in many city hotels, and this one actually impressed us.
