Fabulous hotel and service

The Arizona Biltmore Resort is a terrific place to stay. Well located for our trips in and around Scottsdale as well as the greater Phoenix area. I have read in other posts and heard from other guests while at the hotel that the room you stay in will color your perceptions to the quality of the resort. We stayed at the Saguaro Villas which I understand […] to be privately owned condos (same as the Catalina Villas next door) but are used in the hotel rental pool when the owners are not using them. Our unit was dated in both paint, carpet, fixtures and especially bathroom. The biggest issue I had with the unit was the shower. It had cracked silicone sealer around the side and bottom edges which is a gross feeling when looking at it while showering. Also the towels while large were thin and shall I say 'raspy'. The units condition I understood as I talked with one of the owners is because not all of the members of the owners association updated their units which were only recently completed. She told me many of the units in the Catalina Villas were updated but only a few in the Saguaro Villas. Considering these minor issues the room was better than most -if not all- in the greater Phoenix area at the price I paid and when considering the grounds we feel it was a bargain. This is a 1200 sq ft suite after all. The living room has a fireplace and the full size kitchen is very handy for those staying longer than a few days. The expansive deck was terrific for lounging and entertaining.The bed was comfortable yet not plush but we felt the comforter was warm and cozy. The grounds as most everyone else has previously stated are very nice. The gardens are pleasant to walk though and there are several game areas located though out the grounds for the kids to use. These include lawn chess/checkers, crochet and a small putting course. The pools are nice but the restrooms are in need of some serious updating. (1) We were placed in a room with a window above an exit used to remove all of the tables, chairs and debris from a wedding--at 2AM! We called downstairs to complain. Nothing was done even though one of us dressed subsequently, left the room, went downstairs to find the conference room foreman and request that they stop. (2) Service in the cafeteria […] was unreal--we waited almost 20 minutes in an almost empty dining room to order despite resorting to flagging someone down after awhile and requesting to do so. What arrived subsequently was not what we ordered. After another 15 minutes our original, simple order for a bowl of hot oatmeal arrived as a tepid bowl of mush. Lisätietoja

The Arizona Biltmore was beautiful and we enjoyed the grounds. The room was huge and the bathroom very nice. Wright's restaurant was amazing, but we were less impressed with Fank and Alberts. Staff was mostly great, but a little prickly when I called to complain that I had been waiting 20 minutes for a bellman.

The good news is that I ended up in a gorgeous room, with a gorgeous view, patio access and a spa tub (candles and bath salts, too!) in the Ocitilla part of the resort. But that's not where this story begins. It begins with bellhops who had to be persuaded to help me with my luggage up to a dark, scary room in the "garden" part of the resort. There […] was a balcony, but I couldn't actually get to it as the door was bolted shut. I did, however, have a view of some bushes and construction tape. Thank goodness the wi-fi didn't work either, or I might never have called the front desk; they immediately moved me to Ocitilla when I mentioned the "crime scene tape." LONG STORY SHORT -- request the Ocitilla rooms, if you can, when you reserve. Beds could stand to be more comfy. Staff was either very good or very . . .untrained? I received no "let us tell you about the resort" (until, coincidentally, I met one of their very knowlegable and extremely nice concierges/historians at the airport the next day.) The grounds are too beautiful to be believed at this historic landmark and the views (aside from what I described above) are fantastic. Would I go back? Absolutely. good things that happened we were upgraded to a shallee..we were given directions but after driving around for about an hour, I could not find it..Back to the valey and with a little offering he tood us direcdtly to it...It was beautiful and all that I could ever want in a suite..thank you hotel.com, and arizona biltmore.. fore once in my life I felt […] like a King and his Queen..... This hotel is a Phoenix-area classic. The architecture, landscaping and surrounding area are lovely. Shopping is super-convenient. The rooms are dated, but the staff is extra helpful. We especially enjoyed meeting other guests around the outdoor fireplaces.

We had a good deal but would not pay the normal rates. Nice hotel but not worth the extra buck unless you value the grandeur

All I can say is FABULOUS!

This is a lovely resort with a unique charm. The staff was excellent. Particularly Jason the chef at Wrightss and the bartender Tony. Though an expensive place it was a treat!

Pros: Wright architecture is awesome & grounds are beautiful; serene is possible... Cons: Concierge service was more Motel 6, with a snippy attitude to boot; Example: hotel far removed from airport & downtown, but NO shuttle available (even with a fee). Where does the shuttle run? This hotel is a surprising gem. The price for this piece of history is amazing. A guest was still in our room at the time of check-in but the hotel quickly corrected this error and upgraded our room automatically. I love the grounds, the staff members were very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again to explore and enjoy.

Loved the hotel, history and opportunity to experience a Frank Lloyd Wright influenced hotel. Talieson West is also in Scottsdale and worth a visit. the Biltmore is in need of infrastructure overhaul, facades in places are in danger of being lost, but my room was spacious, clean and in close proximity to pool and restaurant. My husband and I came to visit our grand-daughter, who is 2 1/2 years old. My son moved to Phoenix about 1 1/2 years ago and everytime we visit, we stay at different resorts (sort-of trying them all out). We will most diffently stay here again. Grounds were lovely, pools fabulous, and restaurant excellent.

what a terrific surprise. i went in not knowing a thing about the place and was overwhelmed by its beauty and the staff's charm and warmth. frank lloyd wright, grounds spectacular, one of the best places ive been to.

Lovely grounds and comfortable rooms. You need to relax into the Biltmore and enjoy the pools and multiple places to sit and read and enjoy the fabulous views. Children love the water slide and grill at the pool.

Great hotel. Grounds are beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Only negative would consist of being charged a resort fee, whatever that is.

Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture with plenty of history including Presidents, renowned composers, and, successful American entrepreneurs - you must experience this resort. Service is comparable to the finest resorts.

I was expecting a beautiful hotel which I used to visit quite often sometime back. The place has gone to the dogs. I came in and saw a lot of low class looking people.They were decorated with tattoos,had colored hair,and many were dressed quite scary. I was trying to get some sleep after 12 Midnight and I was constantly hearing doors slamming and a […] lot of noise. By the way,when I checked out of the hotel my bill showed charges for Valet parking and charges for using the hotel grounds,on top of the initial charges for the hotel. A very disappointing surprise. Grounds and architecture of the Biltmore are something to behold, but service and rooms horrible. When your air conditioner does not cool your room in temps over 100 degrees, the room itself has not been updated in years, the bathtub has mold growing around the drain, and there Re more bugs in the room then guest, it is time to rethink your stay. Booked this hotel for what I thought was a good price until I checked out and was hit with a resort fee and parking charge. So my "good deal" was killed with these very large extra fees. Don't get me wrong the total price isn't bad for this hotel, I just like to know up front. In our first room, the toilet didn't work. An elevator was out and there […] wasn't an ice machine which is odd. Parking isn't even anywhere near the main rooms either. If you were doing a wedding or something this place is ok, but for a weekend getaway I would suggest somewhere else. It's out of the way and quiet but that's about all it has. An old Frank Lloyd Wright historic hotel, which is why I stayed there. Very lovely; however, Wright's taste then was toward cement block buildings with small ceilings and dim lighting. So, the hotel's halls and rooms (at least in the old part of it) are kind of dark and give a vague dingy feeling as a result of it all. Great service., great rooms. What's not to like!

I was really looking forward to staying a hotel that is part of the Wldorf collection but was extremely disappointed with age of hotel. The rooms were very very dated and matched those of a cheap motel. The television set kept changing it's own channels but room and furniture was extremely dated. Property is just tired. Have been going to the resort for many years, and it needs serious investment in the rooms. Our night table wood was "bubbled". Crazy.

Grounds are immaculate. Rooms are spacious. Patios are great. Many pools to choose from - quiet or busy. Spa was excellent. Dining was delicious. Outside fires always burning so you could be outside at any time. Didn't want to leave.

My husband & I have stayed at the Biltmore several times over the years. Except for large groups of conventioneers crowding the bars, our four day stay was lovely. Wish the hotel suggested no bathing suit attire in the lobby, but the gardens are maintained beautifully, Sunday brunch at Wright's is decadent and delicious, the staff was all pleasant, […] and our room was large and attractive whereas in the past some rooms seemed a bit frayed and in need of a touch up. The air condition can't adjust temperature. It's cold and we caught a cold.

The Biltmore is a stunning property, elegant and grand. The restaurants are excellent. Our room was fine, comfortable and clean. Our biggest problem was the noise from a late night very loud party. This resort hotel is very popular for weddings and meetings, and there was a large wedding party the weekend we were there.
